Do you think there are places in the west were a mule deer buck can live their whole natural life and never see a human?

edit.... i say no because its not the summer range where they can avoid humans its the winter range that has them in contact with us.

definately there are deer in the ca desert that never see a human in their lives

I most definitely stand corrected. I was possitive that Utard was the West.....my bad.

but agreed, i didn't think about them danged ole desert mullies.
I'd also say that i bet there are more big ole mullies that see humans and the human had no idea that deer was there.whether on horse back or on float trips, i bet that buck has seen a human.

I was really just going against the grain, for no particular reason other than to say no.

There are LOTS of deer and elk that are never really hunted (some of our country is very remote). That winter-range thing reduces the number of "big ol' deer" who are never seen or see us, but they still exist.
