LAST EDITED ON Apr-02-08 AT 06:47PM (MST)[p]Ladies and Gentleman,

What can I say we kicked ass. There were over 40
people in attendance at the G&F meeting and all of us
were opposed to the permit increase in unit 102. Not
everyone had the opportunity to speak but the Green
River regional office of WG&F got the point loud and
clear!!!
We believe that the G&F will back off the permit
increase for 102 but probably won't go ahead with a
permit decrease. This obviously is a battle won but we
haven't yet won the war. We believe that we need at
least a 50 permit decrease to get the quality up to
where most of us want to see unit 102. We are
currently writing a petition that we intend to hand
deliver to the commission at the April 24th meeting in
Casper.
Once we finish the petition we will need help
collecting signatures and distributing the petition so
we can get as many signatures as possible.
I will email you all a copy of the petition when it
is finished and you can print it on your computer and
start collecting signatures. If you want to be
involved writing the petition email me and we will
make sure your included.
Thanks to all of you that took the time out to come
to the meeting and send in your comments. If you
haven't sent comments please do so by April, 4th. You
can either mail these to the WG&F
at WGFD Regulations
3030 Energy LN
Casper Wy, 82604
or email them to [email protected]
REMEMBER THE DEADLINE IS APRIL 4TH

Thanks for keeping us informed and organizing this. It would have been a major setback to see fifty more tags on that unit

Thats great news especially given the tough winter those deer have endured! Thanks for the update

fed,

I sent Steve an email. This part of Wyoming is a gem and one of my favorite places to hunt.

I personally appreciate your efforts. I like states that manage for both quantity and quality and I believe although Wy has allowed over huntin in G and H, managing 102 for quality is a good decision in my opinion. Thanks.

I dont understand why the G and F would increase tags . Are they not college educated in game management?
I'm not college educated, but i know its only common sense to leave it like it is or decrease after a hard winter .
By the way ,i wonder if the officials in G and F who approve an increase in tags (after a bad winter) get an increase in their paycheck,or some kind of commission.
