Unit 16c youth hunt

Hi my nephew drew the 16c youth hunt which starts the 10th of October we went up last weekend to scout and saw a few elk but not a lot for the amount of sign we walked about 15 miles over two days and never heard a bugle. We were east the the Beaverhead. Is there a higher concentration of elk in another area. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Post this up on the NM forum. Should get a lot more help over there. Especially for a youth hunt. I would hit the boarder of 16A/16B and 16C. In the NM forum a few others should give you some input. Should be prefect timing!!!!! Have fun, post pics!

Dude if you hiked 15 miles last weekend in 16c and you didn't hear a bugle you were in the wrong unit or you haven't ever heard a bugle.
