I finally got my two velvet bucks back from the 2005 and 2006 seasons. we are doing the pedistal ourselves and it isn't done yet. The two aspens are just set on there right now in pots. They will be attached to the base once we figure out exactly where we want them. I think we might move the buck on the right a little closer to the other buck as well. It too a while for the taxidermist to get them done but I knew when they were done they would look great. My 2005 buck is on the left and 2006 buck is on the right.

Cam, WOW!! Those bucks look great. Congrats on excellent taxidermy work. They look cool now and will look even better after you gett he pedestals done. Hope you get a 2008 whopper to go with them. Makes me want to come to Canada again.

Nice bucks. Are they the original capes? Usually around here they have an ugly red tint to them when in velvet. Congrats on some beauties..........

They are the original capes. They were taken in early September and had already lost their red summer coats. Still nice short early season hair though.

Cam:

One of the nicest settings I've seen......awesome work and well worth the wait, IMO. You better add onto the house if you keep slaying those monster muleys. :)

Looks like you've got two once in a lifetime bucks there. Congrats, they look beautiful! Good luck on buck of a lifetime 2008!

Outstanding is all I can say. Outstanding bucks and outstanding mounts and an outstanding setting.

Did I mention outstanding?

I wonder how your trees will grow inside, or live for that matter? Have they been inside long? I have a similar setting with sage, I would love to add the aspen look if they would stay alive and keep the color. Beautiful bucks and setting you have going.

Congrats on some great bucks! Hats off to your taxidermist as well....those mounts look awesome.

His name is Harvey Kay from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. He does not have a website. It is not his full time occupation, he also works at Fort Walsh ( National Park) in the Cypress Hills.

They are artificial so should do fine :) .

Saskman, great looking mounts on two awesome archery trophies! There's nothing I love more than a good velvet archery muley. And there's nothing that gets me more than seeing a trophy archery buck on a bad mount! Obviously not the case here! Yours look incredible together! Congrats on back to back bucks and good luck this fall!

Those are some awesome bucks and that setup sure does look nice. Really like the way they are position on the sides of those little aspens, That is a great idea.

Great-looking bucks! It's also an example of a good paint color for a trophy room. Somehow a medium-dark brown paint makes the colors of the cape and antlers have more contrast and the subtle details of the mount seem more defined.

Oh my! Those are absolutely beautiful. That velvet looks just like the day you shot them.(because I remember when you posted them both)

Most Beautimous!!!!!!!!

Love the sage-quakie accents to the mounts.
I'm building a new trophy room within the next few months and these gorgeous mounts are truly inspiring.
Thank you Cam
