She's been trying hard for a couple years now to arrow a buck. No luck yet with that, but she did get to take a bull this year. This was her anniversary gift from me. (Quite the romantic I am, huh? ha ha) She wanted an elk tag.

So we headed for Colorado for a 4th season hunt, and it was a lot of fun. We saw lots of elk, and many bulls, and lots of deer, and some big bucks. Good time for sure. No giant bulls, but a few 6-point bulls.

The only tough part on the hunt was the cold. Riding up the mountain from camp every morning was cold.....very cold for her. But it wasn't that bad.

She had action every day of the hunt and on day 3 downed this bull at about 400 yards. She was so excited. Awesome, awesome! I forget how much fun it is for those just starting out. It's fun to see and be apart of.

My hunting spot is so secret, not even the elk have found it yet.

Beautiful bull, beautiful country, beautiful wife. what more could you ask. Congratulations on lifetime of memories.

Congrats to her. Way to get it done. It's as fun being on the hunt without a tag, just helping the newer or younger hunters succeed. Great memories there!!!

Congrats to you both. Awesome pictures.
