My dad was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a few years ago. Since then his health has gone downhill pretty quick. He was always one of the most active people I knew. Now he has a hard time getting around at all. He finally drew a bull tag here in Nevada. We knew we would have to get lucky to find anything off the road. The first several days of the hunt he insisted that we help my sister-in-law kill a bull rather than help him. After we got her a bull(see my last post) we went home for a couple days to regroup. Luck was on our side yesterday when we found this bull 400 yards off the road. He made a good shot, and after a but if tracking his blood my brother and I found him where he died. My dad wasn't able to hike to where the bull died so we don't have great pics. It was such an awesome experience helping him fill his once-in-a-lifetime tag!

That's a great story with a very happy outcome. I understand what he's going through my older Brother has MS and it can be a real struggle at times. Hope he keeps going as long as he physically can.

That is what I am talking about! He has my complete respect! Way to get it done when the odds are physically stacked against you!

These are the stories I like to hear. Those who appreciate life and the opportunity to hunt. They don't get caught up in the inches game. They just want to live life to the fullest of their abilities and potential. Nice job on a great bull!

What a great experience for your Dad and the whole family. Congratulations to him on a great elk! Best days of my life are hunting with fam.

Awesome bull and great story. Glad he got his bull. My dad died at the age of 58, several years ago, with Max points here in Utah. He always wanted to kill a big bull. We never got to fulfill that dream of his, but you guys did!!! Way to GO!!!

Hey my hat is off to you guys for going over the top to get your Dad out hunting while he can. I had one in our family that has since past on from MS...that lived outside Carson City NV in the desert. Great times and memories for all.....

Thanks for sharing the pics....and please tell your DAD that I told him NICE SHOOT'N...? Enjoy that elk and remind Dad you want him to get another one next year.....
