If anyone has or is willing to give any info on the deer in the area around Marshall I would appreciate it. I will be hunting antelope in this area and would like to combo deer and antelope.

Found it and hate to tell you, I don't know a thing about that part of the state. Can you get deer tags "left over ones" for that J area?
Maybe someone else will see this thread and can help you out, good luck on the Lope hunt though.
There have been many threads on MM about the lack of access for quality deer hunting in Region J. The public land gets hammered and big bucks are tough to find on public lands. The private land holds plenty of big bucks and is available for a high trespass fee or you can hire an outfitter to get you onto private land. You could kill a small buck on public land with a little luck. Killing a 24" 4 X 4 on public land would be equivalent to winning the lottery. Killing a 24" 4 X 4 is probably a decent probablility on private lands if you do your homework and are willing to pay big bucks for your buck. IMO. Based on a few years experience hunting public land in J with no success.
