I know you stay to yourself, and I hope this is not out of line, but congrats as I read the new Fair Chase!

217 6/8 net 205 7/8!
192 Net 188 2/8!
193 Net 181 2/8!

Certainly only a few have pulled a muley trifecta off! Nice pic on pg 77 also.

Also Darrell Snedeger 434 1/8 Net 423 NT elk!

Surely more MM guys are here I do not know, but these stood out. Good job!

Yeh Buckspy always harvest some dandy muley every year!

His photo with that 2003 muley is a sweet buck too!

Josh has his Utah-408 + non-typical listed and he has the COVER of Trophy Hunter mag...this issue!

You need to take the biggin up to the taxi shop so I can see it in person.

At least post up a picture other than the one Barrett has!

Thanks guys. I didn't grow them, I just shot them. Those big deer can take all the credit for growing such awesome headgear.

Congrat's buckspy!!

I agree, lets see some pix!!

You guys know Buckspy doesn't take pics. He takes Photographs with some digital x10000 fancy camera with 1000x lenses, and special slr sol imaging. Asking for pics is an insult!

So, Buckspy, when you post a photograph of each buck, please include one of the raghorn bull you shot this past year. We all know how small those Colorado bulls are.

Check Eastmans' 2004 and 2005 Mule Deer issues for the smaller two bucks. I'm saving the big one for the book I'm putting together. I don't want to be coy but I'm not much of an internet picture poster of my stuff anymore. I appreciate the fact some guys do and more power to them. It helps make this website fun for guys and gals to check out. I don't like the fact that some of this stuff on the internet never dies and becomes somewhat of an urban internet legend....... i.e. Jason Gisi's "New World Record" mexico deer from a couple years ago or the Moses buck that I videoed that got whacked by a gas well worker.

The bull will be in the Eastmans' DIY issue at the end of the summer. Its a great story behind this bull and was probably an unequivocal experience for me.

I feel the same way and think that is a wise choice, considering the past internet misuse and the jealousy/policing that seems to follow.

BS,

I did not think you would post a picture, and I was hesitant to make this post, because I know you tend to stay quiet. To each their own about posting a picture and I cannot say as I blame you either for not posting up.

I was glad to see the scores and the bucks entered. People say the book is not everything, and it isn't, but an eligible animal should have its proper place in the book it qualifies for IMO. I think it shows respect for the animal and it is an awesome accomplishment personally.

I have been fortunate enough to enter two animals, but never a mulie which is probably one of the toughest and most sought after. My focus is 100% 180+ mule deer!

The "smaller" two bucks - HA!! You say that like they were dinks! I have seen both of them and they are GAGGERS! Credit needs to be given where credit is due. Even in comparison the word "smaller" has no place when talking about these bucks.Too modest - way too modest!

Maybe you could call them 04 and 05 or 192 and 193 - or 188 net and 181 net (NET even! Aren't those supposed to be for fish! ROTFLMFAO!)

Great job. Let us know when your book comes out!

I screwed up. They were 03 and 04 bucks and I didn't kill a buck in 05.

You're right. "Smaller" was probably the wrong term to use. They are both real nice mature bucks and the kind many hunters strive their whole lives for. The 04 buck was a really an interesting buck. He was on the smaller bodied size for mature Colorado bucks and when I first saw him trotting broadside in the timber, I thought he was over 200 typical easy. His beams went way out in front of his muzzle and his 4's looked huge. They ended up being 14"s but looked 16ish to me. He was just somewhat of a "mini-mulie" body wise and had a small head and old worn down teeth indicating an ancient buck. It was a great hunt, tracking him all day, loosing him and then getting him late in the evening.

The other buck was a huge bodied buck and when I first spotted and judged him at close to a mile, I guessed 188. It was neat when David Long and I both had our bucks on the tailgate of my pickup comparing the two. The bucks were within an inch of spread and 3 inches gross and net and we called them book-end bucks that day. It was pretty cool and a neat moment to reflect on. He was the 03 buck.

I became an OM for B&C in 2006 and figured sooner or later I better tow the company line and get them entered.

B&C is where they belong IMO. Thanks for entering them up. I am not into net like gross, but B&C is the standard for trophy animals in my eyes.

AWLB,

Thanks. We will see what happens? Guys continue to enter monster bucks in B&C, so I know they exist, I just need to get it done. Hell, you would think a guy could get lucky in 25 years? I guess I will have to do it the old-fashion way!;-)

Plus, that is a dandy Dall Ram ya have in Western Hunter mag.

Those photo's look brown and white.....not black and white...kinda kool looking!

LAST EDITED ON Jun-10-08 AT 10:54PM (MST)[p]Sepia tone. The ram was pink and red and didn't look so great in color. The sepia tone photos played along with the old classic sheep hunt theme. Backpack dall sheep hunting in Alaska is one of the finest outdoor experience a hunter could have. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys spot and stalk, high country hunting. It really appeals to me along the same lines of a high country mule deer hunt. Thanks for the props guys. Your kind words humble me.
