Colorado Deer (35,36,45) 3rd season

Hello all. Looks like I drew my deer tag. First time out of state on a Muley hunt. I will be going with my Bro-in law who went on this hunt last year........Just looking for any advice on the high country North of Eagle(Bull Gulch,Castle Peak). Thanks in advance for chatting with me and If I can be of any help regarding Oregon Hunting just ask. Mark.

Didn't you hear? All of the Deer in western colorado died! As of today they are being transplanted to utah via the Colorado River. Look out Lake Powell! LOL

That area will be a sea of orange and 4WD's and ATV's in the 3rd season. There will be camps set up on almost every flat spot and some sloped areas. Hunters galore. Trying to get away from the crowds is tough. But keep trying. You could find a big deer there, but it won't be easy.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am willing to work hard a hike hard.........looking for the most remote areas on the map and then gonna try to access them. Mark.

Use to be a great 2nd choice area until about the 2005 season. Then this website, Garth's, & Outdoorlife became hellbent on telling the world about it.

Use to be nothing but front-range hunters that would clear out on Sunday night of openning weekend, and it never sold out of tags!
