Was turkey looking today on The wasatch, and watched some bulls. 2 of the bulls had grown out to their 3rds starting on 4ths mains kept going to split up to their 5ths. Very very good bulls. They put the other bulls they were with to shame. I dont believe I've seen bulls grown out that much, this part of may. It could be common, i don't know. They Were Nice To see. Good luck to you guy's that draw this year, you will have fun. No turkey today 4 me.I'll be able to hunt more serious next week.

common for bigger bulls. Have to think that by the 4th of july, what you see is what you are basically going to get come September. They will still grow a little in mid july but it takes time for the antlers to harden before they start rubbing, that doesn't happen over night. So nearing mid-late july, antlers are done growing and hardening up in preparation for the bulls to rub in August.

Slayer, i was in the tabby area in the pinion country. Wish i could have taken a pic, they were nice bulls. I dont hunt Elk on the wasatch, but I bet they are gonna be takers on any unit when they're done growing. Hope to see them again, when I get back out.
