Soon, I hope! The suspence is killing me. I didn't expect to draw. Now, I'm ready to see what's in store. I'm going to be optimistic and say E-mails tomorrow!

I know that I drew a tag. I took the option of buying the mountain lion tag if I drew a deer tag. So I was charged $59, $30 for the deer tag, $29 for the mountain lion. But I never got a hit for the PIW. Based on this, I am hoping for the PIW.

Why would you not get charged the 10.00 for the piw if you draw They take your 30.00 if you get the regular deer tag in the draw.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-10-08 AT 06:44PM (MST)[p]According to the PIw regulations in the Hunt Book, if a participant is successful for a PIW hunt tag, the entire tag fee the participant submitted with their main draw application will pay for the PIW tag. If unsuccessful in the PIW draw, $10 of the tag fee received will be placed in the
Wildlife Heritage Trust Account.

I guess maybe I misunderstood this -- I took it to mean that a particpant would only be charged the piw if unsuccessful.

Anybody know for sure?

I have never read the book on it but that makes it more clear to me I couldnt figure out why they called it the 10.00$ kiss of death. Now that I know that I might not put in for the piw tag next year so i dont find out the bad luck so early on the deer.

By the way, in 2005 and again in 2007 I was charged the $10 piw prior to being charged $30 for the tag. Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessarily the kiss of death.

Hog ,If you got the $10.00 P.I.W fee and then the rest of the money was drawn from your account would tell you ,you drew the P.I.W. tag .If you got a straight $30.00 hit meens you drew a tag on the 1st draw which you would not be eligable for the P.I.W .tags .
