My dad and best bud both had 19 points for the early and got the big UN!!!!!

Crazy! Here's to elk hunting other states I guess.

Wow!!! That is crazy. I wounder how far the DWR will let the point creep happen before they make a change. I have been told by a very reliable source there are 42 bulls per square mile on the Boulder.

Yep! Had an uncle and a friend both with 19 also no luck for them either! But we did get a henrys rifle deer tag, looks like that's where my times gonna be spent!

Not to be a jerk but do the math on that. There is absolutely no way the land could support that. Not to mention they would be sooo thick through there u would trip on them.
my guess is you have mistaken sq mi with 42 bulls per 100 cows which is possible.

42 bulls per square mile ya right. The mountain could handle way more Bull tags ecspecially archery tags. I believe a big part of Points going up Is becuase people are finally starting to figure out Boulder is one, if not the best unit in the state.

call jim or gabe The biologist that lives in Loa or the conservation officer that lives in Lyman on the current elk numbers for the boulder, the DWR has cut the tags because the elk herd is way under objective. as far as 40 bulls per square mile, that is a pipe dream. the unit does hold some great bulls but i think sometimes it is the luck of the draw, my buddy drew an archery tag with 3 points.

I did mis state this. 42 per 100 cows my apologies to the critics. Still that is a huge ratio.

LAST EDITED ON May-23-16 AT 11:25AM (MST)[p]"42 bulls per mile, we're looking at 78,750 bulls on the unit. There are definitely bulls dying of old age."

LOL, Yes they are...:D

Definitely some people jumping units. Boulder is pumping out some giants, that is no secret.

I'm fine if many more 20 point holders jump to Boulder!
