The boy and I fly into Denver the evening of the 16th (oct)

hunting with Rocky Mountain Ranches for Mule Deer

He will be a senior in HS this fall, this is his reward for being a pretty darn good son..And a good time for dad too!

didn't make it out west last fall other than MO (good white tail hunt for the kid)

looking forward to it!

You guys should see some pretty decent bucks Larry Bishop's Hunters usually have pretty good success on his ranches.

We saw 24 bucks before noon. Don't make the same mistake we made and shoot on opening day. More than half of the guys will tag out on Day 1 and you will pretty much get the ranch to yourself. Don't shoot on the first day!!! haha

He's pretty much already spoiled, but hey he's our only one.

2nd trip to CO hunting and he's made a couple of trips to MO white tail hunting with a centerfire..

We live in IN and it's shotguns only and white tail is it..

I anticipate seeing a lot of game as we've been on Larry's ranches before and saw a bunch of Mule Deer.

We have our sights set on a 4x4 or 5x5 with decent mass, a monster would be fine, but we aren't going to be too picky either..

He's never killed a large deer, 7 pointer back home here is his largest.. He's killed a couple smaller bucks and a number of does..

He's pretty focused here at home, if it's not outside the ears he doesn't shoot the last few years..

He's out back right now working on a 4 wheeler track with his buddies, yikes...

Any regulars that will be in the Craig area the same week give a shout out and we can arrange a MM dinner event!

Larry Bishop has some good ranch's,we hunted one of his ranch's for elk a few years ago and saw a couple of great bucks there,took a 5x7 elk but would like to go back some day for deer. Good Luck and have fun !
