Springtime Cow Elk & Calves

Got this footage this past weekend. I found these cows and their calves coming out to the meadows to spend the day. It was a blast to see. I had to stand on the top of my SUV with a tripod to get this footage.

Keep and eye out. These spent the whole day out in the open in a depression where they were hard to see from the road. Still I have hunted this mountain for a while and knew they were using that field . I just didn't know they were using it in the day time. I hiked up there and even heard some soft bugles. I hung some cameras and will be going back in a few weeks to see what they tell me.

Fascinating. Looks like they already had a lead cow to follow. I'd say they hid from you in that depression. Thanks for sharing, very cool.
