Rocking R Ranch

There is another website that they are a sponsor on.... and a few folks on there have hunted with them. Seems like a good operation. Not sure they are killing huge bulls, but they seem to get into elk regularly. If you google it, I am sure the website would come up. Ask there, and you should get some opinions.

+1, exactly what I have seen. Seems like you will have a great chance at filling tag with decent bulls.
They have a thread going on right now on other site with trail cam pics from this year to give you idea of bulls to expect...

I haven't hunted with them but I did hunt on a private ranch in that area about 15 years ago. In the area means I could see Lone Cone in the distance, I think I was in unit 711.

It was typically a high success 5X5 hunt (70% to 90% success).

I was there first rifle and believed it was better than second rifle. First rifle is a draw and second is OTC but I think you can draw the private land only tag without any preference points.

It's a good first elk hunt for someone or for someone that's a little limited in mobility.

It's not a hunt that I would spend a lot of preference points on.

You would need to verify the stats but if I was to hunt that ranch, I'd check on applying for a private land only tag for the unit which you most likely could draw as a 2nd choice. That way you could still collect a PP with first choice.

I hate that we have the ability to do that but those are the rules so I still play by them..

Sleeping in a nice lodge, with a shower and hunting out of a truck would be a lot more comfortable than a lot of elk hunts.

I don't mean by mobility impaired that you are going to shoot one from the truck but a person who could walk two to three mile a day could still have a decent chance at getting a bull on a private ranch. But usually with elk hunting the more ground you can cover the better chance you have.
