CO unit 11 2nd rifle

I drew this tag 2nd choice,and was wondering if any has had this tag tag before. What kind of deer are there? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of small bucks.Hunted the unit a few years ago and saw several smaller bucks ,but nothing of any size.

i hunted 11 for elk,go to the north end of pinion ridge,saw a few 24 inchers. 211 go to Dansford hills

Juniper mountain........ alot of deer on that mountain hunted the last 5 or so years and seen some pretty good bucks also look at pinion ridge area

1200 fewer tags this year for 11-211 for all combined seasons, that should help your odds. How big of a buck are you looking for?? And do you plan on purchasing a Bull tag while you're there?? Do live close enough to scout before the season? I spent some time there over the last four years.

TE I am not expecting a giant but am always looking for one. Something around 150 would be great but mostly looking for a good time. I am strongly considering buying an elk tag but deer would still be my first priority. I live in Montana so it will be hard to scout the area, I have spent some time in the extreme southwest portion of 11 but never been into 211.
