Can anyone point me in the direction to pick up a synthetic skull to mount some sheds on? Thanks!

Mountain Mikes.....He had a couple of contests on here a few weeks ago and gave a couple of his mounts away. I was one of the lucky winners and they are AWESOME! Real easy to do.

Mike is a great guy and he is a member on here. Search...MrB

If you look at the very bottom right of this link, it will direct you to his work(which can also be found on the Cabela's website amongst others):

Try Mr. Skull Crazy, he is doing some for me. He does really great work. He shouldn't be to hard to get a hold of on this site.

My Bad....I forgot to include SkullCrazy. He is always in one forum or another and also has some good tips and view points.

they have all sizes kits are simple as could be do your own for under 50 bucks.

very simple and the ONLY way to do sheds. they are also the best way to do velvet horns,

Thanks whipnot, yours was one of the funnest i have done because of the "surprise" for your father.
Sure would have liked to have seen his face!!

Muleycrazyman's is scarring me, that is the most beautiful buck i have ever laid my hands on, he's going to look incredible!!

If ya wanna "DIY" skull, those mountian Mike skulls you can get at Cabela's are pretty handy.

The McKenzie are flat bottom, no teeth, solid eye and nose cavities.

i might be wrong but their old ones were as you described,
but the last ones i got were very close to real,

i will have to check, maybe it was a different vendor.

Thank you guys, I can use the help getting the word out about my skulls.

ADDICT, I hope you'll give them a try. They are the only ones on the market like them (Patent Pending). By far the quickest and easiest to use, plus universal. You won't need to to worry if you have the right size for your antlers the kits come with both medium and large top sections.

Thanks again, Mike

Mike-

I finally got them in and they are sweet. I like the two diameter headplates (I'll probably have a pile of the lighter ones after a few years because I have some fat sheds!) I cut the bases to the burr as flat as possible but I need to build up the pedicle a bit to even out the angle the antlers lay at to make him lay a little wider. What epoxy do you recommend? Great idea and I'll be a returning customer for sure. I'll post when I finish them up!

ADDICT, the best way is to remove a little material from the top skull kit section's pedicals to change the angle. That way you won't need any filler material. Just use a sander or file and change the angle a few degrees on each side.

Thanks and good luck, Mike
