This buck was taken with my bow last night my son sat with me on two morning hunts and this evening!! Awesome hunt and the best part was to see the look on my sons face as this great buck came and drank!!

It was awesome we had a ground blind that covered up most of his "4 year old" movements. He was very quiet, and the wind was right. We had a little hole just for him to look out of. A pretty good 4x4 came in and he was telling me as quietly as he could to shoot it!! We knew this buck was coming in from some trail cam photos we had so I told him to wait. It was a hunt I will never forget!

I'm sure neither of you will ever forget it. Great buck - but the story is better.

Keep the Sun at Your Back and the Wind in Your Face

It will never get any better than that. My 9 yr old was with me when i got a bull elk with my bow last year and it was one of the best days of my life.

Congrats.

AWESOME!

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.

give props to the little guy ,i don't think i could have stayed quiet when that pig walked out!

huntnhard32, Wow dude, you have a total of 6 posts and with the toad you posted down the board, this one makes two monster bucks. Congrats!!!

I can't help but wonder how many others you've gotten thru the years. You got this hunting for big bucks thing down pretty good!lol Any more toads hanging in the rafters to share?

I have taken a couple of good bucks in old Mexico. Last year a 195 Plus typical, that was 29 2/8 wide. He had about 4 inches of his right main beam busted or he would of been dang close to 200 inches. Mexico is a great place to hunt good chance at a whopper! Hard hunting many days without seeing one buck. Tons of walking 10 miles is a "normal" day of walking. But there is always a chance for a true MONSTER keeps you walking! Mule deer are my passion, something about a HUGE mule deer that gets me turned inside out more than any other big game animal I have been able to hunt. Next would be elk. I live in the white mountains of AZ and there are HUGE elk I just never get to hunt them. 12 bonus points???!!! I have taken a great bull in San Juan Utag 380 inches. Gorgeous heavy, middle of the rut really cool footage bulls fighting bugling peeing all over themselves, I can't blame them I was too! Took a 130 inch coues in old Mexico, After 10 days of walking glassing I found one off the side of the road rutting a doe jumped out and shot, not the best story for such a monster coues but I will take a gime me like that any day!!!! If you are interested I will get a couple of pictures together.

What a great buck and what a great experience for you and your son. My son turns 3 in just a few months... another year or 2 and I hope to have that same experience.

That right there is PRICELESS!!! Congrats on taking a whopper and the fact you had your son with you just makes that even more precious. Those smiles say it all! Make sure you have that picture hanging on the wall with the buck. Memories that last a lifetime.

On this pic you can see the entrance wound, the exit was a bit far back a little different angle than I thought thankfully he only went 90 yards!

Great buck and great story! My oldest is going to be four soon. I'd love to do the same with him some day! Thanks for sharing

Thanks everyone for the kind words, it has been nice to read! It was a ton of fun and its all my son talks about. He has even drawn several pictures of the whole event. Thanks again My buddy had such a close call with the HUGE typical we have been hunting he stalked to within 65 yrds thought it was more of an incline than it really was shot for 45 should of shot for 50 to 55 just missed low!!

Wow thats amazing! Congrats on the monster and I hope to see something like that on my hunt.
