AZ Unit 10 Junior Hunt

My two sons (ages 11 & 13) drew the AZ Unit 10 junior buck hunt for October and I've never hunted the area. I would appreciate any information about the unit and the deer in that area. Does anyone know if we can use quads? Thanks.

I drew the youth tag four years ago. Its not an easy hunt. There are more deer in the williams area and around the aubrey cliffs. I hunted around long point for the most part and on the boquis ranch. We didn't see many deer but i found a giant shed and the cowboys out there were very helpful and knew of some really big bucks.

GOT ON A 140 CLASS DEER FIRST DAY, AND HE GAVE US THE SLIP. SETTLED FOR THIS ONE 125 YARDS OFF THE ROAD

You cannot use quads on the Boquillas Ranch. Every other part of the unit you can. Check Cataract Canyon. There aren't a lot of deer but there are some big ones. I've seen more bucks up there the past 3 weeks than I have in recent years. The deer might be making a minor comeback in some areas. Good luck.

Yeah try just north of williams just in the transition from pines to pinon/juniper. Seen a lot of deer there. Good luck.
