I'm taking two teenagers on their first bowhunt this weekend. Originally, we were planning on going to eastern oregon, however one of the boys has a soccer game that he cannot miss which will cut our hunting time by a day. I would like to stay within 3 hours of Portland. I have been thinking about going to either the Grizzly unit or the Metolius unit. The boys both have deer tags and I have an elk tag. We are not looking for trophies, but just a place were we will have a good time and see animals. I am really tring to make this a good experience for the boys and could us any help.
