I tagged out on this heavy old buck this morning with the muzzleloader. 5 of the 8 circumference measurements are over 6 inches. He has pretty good main beams at 27+ inches and 26+ inches. He is a little short on the back fork on his left side and a little short on the front on his right side but over all he is a great deer with lots of character. His body was huge. He should total gross score in the high 190's. His net score would take a beating as he is not very even.

THE ONLY bobcat THAT KNOWS ALOT OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS IMAGE IN YOUR PEA BRAIN BUT DUE TO POOR SHOOTING TACTICS I'M STILL KICKIN!!!

YAY! Been looking for your posts for a bit, glad to see you tagged another TOAD! That country looks exactly like the country I hunt here in Utah, minus the huge Bucks of course ;-)

CAM,

Congrats big time on the nice Buck, who cares about the score, he is a winner no matter what the points add up too.

Is it true that NON-RES can't hunt Mulies up there in Sask? Or do I have it mixed up with a different Prov. in Canada? I just met a fellow in Aug. down in Las Vegas at our Army reunion who flew down for the reunion and he lives in Regina I think it was. Never even thought to ask him this question.

The only way that a non-resident can hunt muleys in Saskatchewan is if they book with a native run outfitter and then they can only operate on their reserve lands. I know there are a few native run outfitters who outfit for muleys but I have heard some bad stories about a few.

Awesome buck Cam. Nothing wrong with that buck at all. Who cares about net score. Gotta love the gross score,

Love the mass. Great job!

That's just not fair though. The country I hunt is twice as steep with bucks half the size of yours.

Cam,
Yet another PIG! Congrats to ya! I love the mass on him. The extras are plenty cool as well. Way to go!

Thats an awesome Buck!! Congrats to you and thanks for the pic's that is great country.

Very cool looking buck Cam, congratulations......awesome photos as well.....

Yet again you down another dandy. Love the mass, and great photo's
Congrats on your success.

after is all the nice bucks you have posted, I'm think I would love to see your Wall of buck, Because over the year you have put up some monsters. Great looking buck and a nice addition to the wall.

Cam, that is an awesome buck. But of course it is to be expected with your track record. And as always, great pictures.

Saskman-

That's a hog....congrats.

Do you qualify as a native run outfitter? If not, know of any good ones? Sounds like a profitable adventure to me.

Doug

Congrats Cam! Great buck with some great photos. I think you are going to need to build a bigger house:)

Matt

Thanks guys. Had an official B&C scorer score him at the taxidermist tonight and he scored a little higher than I thought. His gross typical frame was 196 and change and his total non-typical gross was 205 and change. He lost 11 inches due to uneveness so his net drops a little but nets are for fish anyways.

Doug

No native blood in me. The only outfitters I know of in my part of the province is nekaneet outfitters on the nekaneet reserve in the Cypress Hills south of Maple Creek. I know they have taken some big deer there but have no idea how the services are and how clients are treated.

Cam,

Congrats on another super buck. Glad to see the provincial govt left a few after the CWD eradication.

I'm with most guys here - who cares about the net score, or even the gross. That buck is just a big-time stud. And I do love that country.

Saskman, Looks like another true Saskatchewan monster, Congrats. I am from utah but had the oppertunity to spend a few years up in your country, I was wondering what town in Saskatchewan your from? I was also wondering if that is lake Diefenbaker? I don't want you to give up any of your spots so you do not have to answer that last question if you do not wish to. I know lake Diefenbaker is very large so i didnt think i would offend you by asking. I also know there is lots of other areas that have coolies like that with lakes in the bottom. Like Buffalo pound lake. Once again congrats on an awsome buck.

I live In Swift Current, Saskatchewan. That is lake Diefenbaker in the background. This whole area has been a CWD area since 2004. Until this year they have been giving out unlimited free tags ( every hunter could get as many as they want). I have not hunted there since this started as I did not agree with the way they were slaughtering the deer. They finally changed it this year. Now the tags are no longer free and you are only allowed to take one buck and only if you do not have a tag for elsewhere in the province. They still have a fairly liberal doe harvest though. I decided to hunt back in this area again this year as I have always enjoyed the country and it is where I grew up. The numbers of deer are way down but there is still the odd good one around if you put your time in. Wherer abouts in Sask were you when you were up here.

I spent 6 months in Swift Current and about 4 months in Moose Jaw. I also spent some time up around the Flin Flon area. I remember a few years back when you said they were doing that CWD nonsense, it made me sick to here they would do such a thing. Im glad they went away from that. I loved the Swift Current area, the cypress hills, sand hills, all that country is great. I remember seeing mule deer running across the wal mart parking lot on a few different occasion. I also remember all the coyotes you have up in the area, i wanted to go out calling but never had the chance. I dont know if you saw the buck Roy aka BOHNTR shot this year on the AZ strip but i am the person on the right of the photo that bigbuck23 posted of Roys deer.

No shortage of coyotes up here. It will be time to start doing some calling by the end of the month. What were you doing up in this part of the world?

'sasko'..so sorry, i totally missed this post...been gone for a bit. very nice buck, as expected...the 'scenery shots' were very, very nice...appreciate all your 'contributions'...look forward to them...thanks for sharin'em..

sorry it took me so long to reply back its been a little crazy down here. I was up in your neck of the wood on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a lot of fun. Lots of good people up there.

Another 'smoker'!
I too would like to see your "wall of bucks"!

"Yeah, I'll shoot him"

Saskman comes through again with another great buck. After seeing your picture with all of the great bucks you take and reading your articles I feel like I know you. You must be some kind of hunter to consistantly produce like you do. Congratulations...again!
