While I was takig time to finally post, I thought I would also share a picture of the buck I took in 07 in Colorado. He doesn't have great tine length and was only 24 inches wide, but as you can see he carried a lot of mass. We played cat and mouse for about 15 minutes and when he finally ducked his head down under the cedar to look at me and I saw the bases and the mass, well it was all over.

That is a knarly buck! I too really like a heavy buck, even if not as large in other regards.

What a tremendous trophy! He shows characteristics of an ancient buck regressing with age and having "pipe-like" mass. Imagine how many hunters that buck has eluded in his time on the mountain. GREAT BUCK!

I've never seen such a thick rack in my life!!! And that deer has a very unique color to his hide... Hope you put him on the wall!!! Thanks!

Tbuck.

Awesome heavy buck. I was wondering if you measured any of the mass measurements, bases or total mass for the 8 measurements.

Just curious to how much mass he has, 40-45-50 inches somewhere I guess.

You know Nino, I did measure it initially, but can't remember exactly what they were, and I don't dare post what I think they might have been without knowing for sure. The rack went to the taxidermist a few months ago. I will call him and see if he will give me the measurements again and post it when I get them. Anyone care to take a guess?

Looks like 6.5 1st, and 5.5 second, 40-42 inches total. You'll kill better scoring bucks in the future, but will be hard pressed to kill a bigger man of a buck. Phenomenal buck and congrats.

Nice buck and you have to love the mass on that toad.

There's room for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed taters and gravy.

I'd guess around 43 inches of total mass: 6.25 inches on the bases, 5.75 on H2 and 4.75 on H3 and H4. He could be a couple of inches bigger, I was just curious.

Hey Clark this is Reggie; i guess this is the buck you were telling me about in Wingers that night a while back, thats a neat buck, glad i got to see a picture! Me and my Uncle Josh and some other good friends have 3rd season Colorado tags and i want to chat with ya but i lost your number.
