"Roadless areas, in general, represent some of the best fish and wildlife habitat on public lands. The bad news is that there is nothing positive about a road where fish and wildlife habitat are concerned -- absolutely nothing." (B&C Professor, Jack Ward Thomas, Fair Chase, Fall 2005, p.10).

Never been there or heard of this place, the only place that is somewhat like this is a Sportman's Bar & Restaurant in ESTACADA, Oregon which is in the mountains s/e of Portland. The wife and I made a stop there back in '84 on our return trip from Alaska.
Don't remember the owners name but the owner had traveled all over the world on hunts and had them in the bar & restaurant both in full size and shoulder mounts, very impressive.

Been near there but don't think I've ever been through town. Don't know anything about the business you're asking about. What kind of info did you want? Are you gonna buy it?

Buy it? I hope not. I'm just curious about the place and and wanted to know if it's a worth stopping at on my way though. . .

With a name like Bassos Bar and Grill I'm sure it would be worth a stop. Those little hole in the road places are pretty entertaining. Usually there's some pretty good pictures on display of good bucks and animals form the area.

Might not want to talk politics though. :)

I'm not that far away from there, Beatty is a wide spot in the road between K Falls and Lakeview. I think it just opened this year and the owners and most of their trophies are from Idaho. if they serve drinks I'll check it out next time I'm there and let you know.
