Yeah I know, he's a dink!!!

But I'm happy and here are a couple pics regardless. Killed him this past Saturday, which just so happened to be opening day for the Orange Army as well...take that rifle hunters! Ha, ha.

My buddy Austin and I spotted this guy along with a few other bucks and were able to watch them bed. They were in a good spot for a stalk, so off I went while he stayed back to spot.

I was able to get in and make a good hit on the buck...he made it about 150 yards before going down. That was surprising considering the blood trail, it was a good one to say the least. Austin could follow it in the scope from across the canyon!!!

Backinthegame is back in the game for real! Nice job. Two bucks this year- both sweet bucks taken with the primitive stuff. Way to go man. That crunchy snow in the pic looks like it made for a tough stalk.

HA!!! Yeah it was a bit of a rough trip up the hill...thanks again for the help by the way, I owe you one!

Was this on the extended Wasatch Front area??? Where else can you hunt public ground with a bow this late in the season?

Browning...Utah's "rifle" hunt is actually specified as an "any weapon" hunt, meaning you can hunt with just that, any legal weapon; as long as you're hunting within your designated region.

And of course you need to wear orange during the centerfire hunts, even when hunting with a bow. ;>o

I used the Grim Reaper RazorTip...I've taken a few animals with it so far this year and I've been pretty impressed.

Here is a pic of the beginning of the blood trail, about 10 feet or so from where the buck was hit. (P.S. - I also have some other "graphic" pics, if anyone is interested in seeing them shoot me a PM.)

Good looking buck! I love when they fork in the front with those long daggers in the back.
