Sure JDH would say that. He just doesn't want you to hunt in his spot. ;-)

To tell you the truth you don't have a chance in heck of drawing the henneries archery with 8 points going into the draw next year. This is how many points I have and I have researched it over and over again.

If you are the last guy in your point pool it could still take at least 6 years to draw the tag. There are two many people in the 9 and 10 point group ahead of us and they only give out 4 archery tags to the top guys. This is only if a rifle hunter/muzzy hunter doesn't peel off and screw up the odds.

If one guy lets say in the 12 point range drops to the archery "like they keep doing" all the other 7 tags will be going to everybody else under the bonus point guys in the luck of the draw.

You will draw any archery tag in the state with a 100% with your 8 points "except the henneries" You still could be in for a while.

Not trying to be negative good luck on what ever hunt you decide but I would put in for the pauns HE HE ;-)

Archery is a year round commitment!!

That's the kind of info I need.

I know I wouldn't draw at least until 2010 for the henrys. But with my 8 points no other archery tag is worth settling for when its only 2 years away if I'm lucky. The pauns is second choice but only cuz I've seen 190" deer during the archery hunt but its the thought of the bruisers pushin over 200 on the henrys that keeps me waiting.

In conclusion I think ill wait for the henry's!
