good shooting bow

It's been a long time since I did any league shooting, and longer since I've actually bought a bow (built most of mine). I can remember that the high end stuff was often not correlating with overall accuracy. Some of the finger shooters were out shooting all of those with releases, wheels only bows better than those with cams...

I expect that bows are a lot like rifles, most of their potential exceeds the skill of the shooter using them. The right fit for your shooting style is more important brand, model, etc...

That is like asking what is the best car for going fast, or the best truck for hauling a load. Ask 5 guys that question and you will get 5 different answers. Go to a bow shop, shoot everything they have in your budget and buy the one you like the best.

Generic question.

What kind of bow...the latest compounds?

As already stated, most of what's out there will shoot better than we can.

Just go to your local shop, try out what's within your budget, and buy it. After that, practice, practice, and practice some more.

I'm partial to Matthews, but it doesn't mean that somebody else can't shoot their Fred Bear better than I shoot my Mathews.

When choosing a bow, also seriously consider and account for your components. Drop away rest technology has done a lot for accuracy in my opinion. Arrows aren't cheap. Broadhead choice can really affect shot groups. Release aids, etc.
