LAST EDITED ON Nov-15-08 AT 08:23AM (MST)[p]The 26" must be inside. Thats a stud buck! I see him at about 210 also.

Beautiful buck, Great frame with just enough trash. What is the rest of the story.

Well I'm a 16 year old sophmore that lives right on the Candian border in Montana. I live out in the country and on my way back from shooting a limit a pheasants i see a group of 25 mule deer out on the fwp. So i go get my deer rifle... get back in the truck and go park somewhere where i won't spook um... I saw they were headed east so i went to cut um off... I walked for about a mile and never saw um... on the last hill of the fwp there they were 25 mule deer and 5 whitetail...The whitetail got spooked and ran right by this big boy but he was too concerned with the does... So i was 100 yards out and he hadn't even realized I was there.. I saw he was just massive so i put the crosshairs on him and with alittle buckfever pulled alittle bit and shot um right behind the ribs... but one shot he went down I was ecstatic.

I ended up shooting him on public Fish and Game land, but he had been hanging around in my pasture on our private land all year... I just never got a shot

I've been hoping & looking for a deer like that for over 30 years, and you've already done yourself proud. Much congrats, and thanks for posting up those pics. Yeah, I think he'll go over 200... ;-)

That's one awesome and beautiful buck, congratulations! Like the others have said, yeah he'll gross over 200" but who cares, he's a monster that anyone would be proud to have. Lots of character to those antlers. By the way, that second picture is outstanding, nicely composed and framed. Well done!
