What does he score?

I kinda like these guess the score posts so i thought i'd start one. I have a love/HATE relationship with this buck. I hunted this beautiful buck very very hard for the archery hunt but couldn't seal the deal. He isn't the biggest buck i've ever seen but the biggest i have ever had the pleasure of hunting so hard. Even though i didn't have enough skill and luck to connect, just the challenge and experience is something i will never forget. The pics aren't the best. The light was bad and i had to scan 35mm negatives to get them online.

What a pretty buck with lots of character! I would have been chasing him, too.

As far as score, it looks like about a 165 main frame with about 15 inches of extras for a total of 180. Maybe even 185.

the main beams will push that bucks typical rack into the mid 180's then put on the extras and you will have a buck close to 200"

LE Unit?

Archery is a year round commitment!!

the front forks are deceptivly deep and the beams are huge, when ya throw in the width, close to if not over thirty, bucks close to 200 if not over.

personally i came up with 198 skimping on the beams and mass. Any way ya look at it studly buck and wish i was lucky enough to come across somethin like that.

I look at these pictures all the time trying to guess his score. In some pictures his beams and g4's look giant and in some they look just average. A little info on this buck. He is a public land general unit buck. The photos are from two years ago. If he is still around i would love to see him now but i scouted the area a ton this year and didn't turn him up, possibly because the sheep moved in early this year and pushed out most of the deer.

I'm no Mossback member. I've added it up a time or two, and settled with 145. Just a normal 4x4 with some junk. How'd you guys come up with 200?

I was thinking 170'ish no doubt a great looking deer and an incredible buck to be a general season deer, but I think that velvet it very desceiving I really love the deer and would take him in a heart beat I just don't see 200 either

Main beams add up. Huge fronts+ 15-20" of trash. Id say right around 195"

Kill that deer!

The buck won't net 200? but it will gross over 190. You pass I shoot and you eat tag soup on general unit looking for a better buck then that.

Why don't you tell me where all your little 145" deer are so I can come take a look through my scope.

I don't see anyway's near 200 either. To each his own i guess. That nice outside spread actually does not help this buck, his inside spread is very weak.

I'll say 180 class, maybe. Joey

The pictures make it a little challenging to guess. But the one thing that I Know for sure is he is way over 145 gross and probally between 175 and 200.

145...Now that is funny! I think the 145 guess is only missing it by about 50 inches. Give or take 10. The good deep fronts, the decent mass, the width, and the trash, put it at least over 180. Just my opinion. Sweet lookin buck for sure!
