Ok guys I love seeing photos have big 3points. There is something about them that to me they just look great. I know that you will probably never shoot one to make Book, but how many would pass up a chance for a big 3x3? I know I would be hard pressed to pass one up.

If there are any photos of one that made Book I would love to see it.

I would love a nice heavy deep forked 3 point. I think given the chance I would not pass it up.

--I'm looking for a man... who calls himself Bucho! That's all! And you had to do it, the hard way!--

LAST EDITED ON Nov-19-08 AT 10:23AM (MST)[p]Last year I shot a nice 3 point, scores 129 1/2 with 23" spread. I think it looks cooler than the 4 point with 27" spread hanging next to it. I get more comments on the 3 point than i do the 4 point.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-19-08 AT 10:30AM (MST)[p]There is a monster 3pt in the first lowlandmulies I video, it comes buy after they had just shot a buck. It's limping along on a broken leg. But its a toad. I dont know who could pass that up.

There was one in Eastmans a few years back from mexico, was on the cover entitled 3 point goes b&c. Dont care for 3 points myself, would rather kill a big fork than a 3.

I remember that 3 point on the cover of eastmans. It also had like 5 or 6 inch eyeguards that helped it get over the 190 mark.

This is a big 3x3 that we ran out of day light on during this rifle season. he had huge backs

Nice! I like those big 3's also. If it's a bruiser with mass, tine length and some gnarly eye guards, I'd pick that over a willow horned 4x with extras. Score isn't that important to me.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-20-08 AT 03:40PM (MST)[p]This guy basically has a three point frame. We passed him up.

My buddy Boyd Coburn took this photo of a big three. It was in our 2007 Buck Fever calendar.

"Yeah, I'll shoot him"

Here's one of the biggest 3's I've seen. He is 25" wide and scored 173" and has great mass. I agree big three's are really something.

This year, I took a 3 point that was standing next to a wider 4 point on the last day. The 3 point had a bigger body and thought it was a better "management" buck to cull:

I have posted this HCB I got in CO in 05 here before. Believe me, no thoughts of "management" were on my mind with this one. It is over 35" wide, conservatively grosses over 190 (my measurements, but I did not want to strip it), and had bases over 8":

I'm sure I saw a 3x3 that would book this year, he was huge and had great mass all the way up about 32" wide a straight 3x3 no junk.

My best 3 point, archery buck. A great desert buck but no where near booking, almost 28 inches wide though. I'd shoot him again in a heartbeat with my bow.

My bad, I didn't read the org post, sorry for the posting of non book 3x3's and sheds.

Don't be. I love seen all of the big sheds and deer. I just would love to see one that is book. They are just massive.

I find it intresting that the fork is not always the same. Some it is the front that forks and some it is the back.

Here's one..

29" main beams.. 28" spread.. doesn't score for crap, but cool buck with a sorta large body.

Some awesome 3-point bucks posted.....especially that last one SASKMAN posted in velvet......unreal.

I've seen some absolute giant 3-points over the years. Just never been able to arrow one. This is the best one I've taken....a downhill buck with almost no more teeth living high in the CO mountains.

This was my biggest deer when i got him in 2005. I was so excited i did not even care how many points he had. He is 28' outside and only a three point.

Figure that a book buck has 10-12" deep forks. Plus the mass measurenent on a three muves up to halfway to the tip. Now you are looking at a minimum of 20" more loss on the total frame....plus you usually lose some deductions anyway. So looking at a mainframe 3x, you need what would appear to be something like a 215 mainframe 4x in overall size, for a maybe skate in buck. That's getting way up there....There are some, but not a lot. And if the forks are on opposite tines, forget it. Usually the big threes are bucks past prime, heavy, and a bit more lopsided too. B&C gives length far more credit than mass for score with the same volume of antler.

Man that buck in post #16 is a great buck.

Here is a pic of a 3pt that is still alive. This pic is from last year but I saw this guy again just the other day. He is bigger and I will take my camera today if I can get a pic I will post it up.

This is the buck I got in 08 and he is basically a 2x3 and right at 33" wide... He was super old as well and gettin very close to having no teeth left as well.

here are a couple pics of my 08 archery buck from northern california.. nowhere near the biggest but nice for an archery buck in my neck of the woods.. he is 23 1/4 wide.

I have posted this guy before, but this may be what your looking for. The buck was killed and was said to be 35" wide and grossed in the mid 190's.

O.K. Not huge antlers (26" wide, high, but not heavy), but this guy had a huge body. WY 96. Skinned, dressed, with the lower legs cut off, 243 lbs at the locker! The butcher was impressed. I think my 05 CO one in post 16 was about the same weight, but he came out boned in a backpack and was not weighed.

Wish I could find the picture of me at 12 and my first buck, a nice 26" 3 point too....

I've shot 2 different 3 points. I got one this year nothing to brag about, and I got my first 3 point in 01'. I'll post pics when I can figure out how to do it. Great bucks.. great post.
