At least he gutted it! Kudos for that!

Eel

President Obama and Congress should leave gun rights alone. It's above their pay grade.

That is a awesome buck love the mass. Although not the greatest shot but apparently it got the job done.

Gotta love the dark horns, thank GOD he didn't pull the arrow out of his A$$ just goes to show we aren't all perfect, I can't say I have shot every animal right in the vitals!!

Way to go California guy thats a beast no matter where you hit it at least you found him!!

That is an awesome buck!
No a perfect shoot but got the job done. I'm sure we all have had bad shoots at one time or another.
Great mass and a super buck! CONGRATS!

I agree slam, that buck is what sweet dreams are made of.

Doesn't the body look a little small for such a huge rack.

From the look of the arrow it was an extreme quartering away shot with little room for error. But on a buck like that I would have tried it to. It looks like he got to make a follow up shot.

My first bow kill was many years ago when I was knee high to a grasshopper and I'll never forget it. That doe came down the hill just sweet as could be and I got excited and pulled it, drilling her in the hind quarter....luckly it hit the artery and she only went 30 yards and tumbled over, Stevie Wonder could have followed that blood trail, we all make bad shots, if you haven't then you just haven't been doing it long enough yet. I've been bow hunting for nearly 20 year, it happens.

Thats a heck of a buck no matter where it was taken.
Get'em Duck!

hogliver, that very well could be a area 10 buck. My hunting partner told me a few days ago about a mutual older buckhunter friend that accompanied his young relation to the Ruby's for his hunt. I was told that they got a wide heavy toad non-typ. This could be that buck. S'all i know for now.

punk,

I agree. That is a GREAT deer! Every now and then a special buck shows up. This is definitely one of them.

I would have forgot to get the arrow out if I would have shot him as well.

Wow, incredible buck! It looks like a Cali deer to me but that's a bomber in any state.

The last picture is of Charlie Gardner, who's brother, Walt, owns Secret Pass Outfitters. If I was a bettin man, I would bet the farm that it was killed in the rubies. The last picture is also in Charlies front yard in Ruby Valley. Great Buck
