unit 54 idaho

Looking into maybe trying to draw in this unit. Any one hunted this area before? Looking to hunt the desert area, or is there a better unit to hunt in the desert? Thanks Mike

54 is a pretty good unit. Has a few big bucks in it, only thing is I live here and can never draw a damn tag. Good luck with getting one. I can't seem to.

Nope. This unit wouldn't be in my top 5 for a good "desert hunt".

I'd go with the Owyhee units (40,42,41) in that order and units 45 and 52 in that order. 54 isn't really a desert hunt in my opinion, you have some big ol mountains in there.

Just my opinion. Take it for what's its worth.
