i took this pic in a little town called cassel.It is in Cali what do you guys think he will score and his width.

I will say around 160-170 and 28" wide

Looks like a buck off Clint Eastwoods ranch?? I hunt the mountains just across 89 from there but i've sure never seen anything close to that guy. My brother did some tree work for ol Dirty Harry and his eyes almost popped out at the huge pet bucks he keeps well protected on his property.

He's got great main beams and good inside spread. i'll say 180ish and 29" outside.

I'd say he is about 27" wide. He's really short on opints though, even with the extras I think he'll only make about 160" That's a pretty cool story about Eastwood too... LOL

I'm not really surprised by the scores this buck is getting from you guys. I would though like to say there's a good chance that this buck is 5-6 years old and has a huge body. Many of the huge bucks in this particular area are pets. They have the very best to eat and live under non pressure situations. I've seen several bucks like this one there, some bigger, that i thought would easely weigh over 300 lbs. Huge bodied deer. This bucks rack might surprise you!

you guys are guessing his width to small. from ear to ear there usually 25-26 inches. then you look at the little cheater on his right side. he has got to be 28-29 maybe 30+ outside spread.

heres a little better pic when i saw this buck from 25 feet away i would have sworn he 30 but i may be wrong either way he is a dandy of a buck.p.s.the bottom pic is of my in-laws 31"
from montana he got last year.

nutsferbucks, For what it's worth, i agree with you.

I came up with 55" per side X 2= 110
plus mass of 38" brings us up to 148
plus inside spread of 26" so now 174
with 8"abnormal points,totals at 182 gross and i figured on the safe side.

Like to see the look on these 25-26" 160 guys face if they got to hold this rack. It's heavier, higher and wider than most give credit for. Not sure why it's getting the scores it is, maybe those back forks. Inside spread, front forks, and main beams on this buck make up a lot of points for it's weak G-2's.

Joey, you forgot to factor in a conservative 10% ground shrinkage. Minus the 18.2 inches and there ya go.

after seeing the side view I will still only add 8 inches more. mass looks bigger, and forks are a little deeper that I thought

This is a really nice buck - would look great on a wall. I think he is about 26 wide though. Maybe 28 outside spread. The pic of him contrasted against the 31 inch buck is very helpful. Note the angle of his antlers compared to the wider buck. Big difference.

I am a conservative field judger so I would say low 170's - and then hope I am surprised. He has average mass and the crawdad point off the main beam takes him down a little. I would really hope he turns out better than that though - he is a great buck!

165" - 170", I'd guess his width to be aournd 28" outside spread. But, Im no expert.. He's a good lookn deer, I'd have to say "BANG" and then put him on the wall.
