This giant was killed by my Dad aswell. That softball bat is you regular slowpitch bat that is 34" in length and he happens to be right at 35.5" wide. He is as heavy of a deer as any Ive seen on the hoof or dead. He has a broken g2 on one side and a short one on the other. He was old with no teeth left when he was killed.

what's up with all these trick deals, tough to score bucks you're throwing out here :)

That buck is huge!! No matter the score, He's a Giant!

Joey

I got 204, with the broken G2 point.

Another Awsome buck man, congrats again.

lmao... the bat is in there to show how wide he is and to add presprective. Any one that has ever held a slowpitch softball bat will know thats how big he is..and then some:D

I say not even close to 200. Great mass again no frame on that deer. I say 189 to 191 might be more ? Blury picture dont help any either. That a womens bat too.

I'd say 193 2/8

Hey Hunt_Rez, can a non-tribal member hunt mule deer on the Ute?
How much percentage of Ute blood, do you need, to be considered a tribal member?

Thanks

LAST EDITED ON Jan-11-09 AT 09:27AM (MST)[p]35.5" is outside, which doesn't count at all. Inside is maybe 29". The main beams are not nearly that long, so that becomes the spread credit. Good mass, but minus one measurement on the right. I'm not dissing on it because it's a great buck, but the trickery won't work for me. I say 182" tops.

lmfao...come on Duke. You told me your self 60% of the score is beam and front forks. He is pushin the 27" mark on both beams and has 15" and 16" 4's. More that 20" of mass per and a 25" inside spread.

Rez- Don't listen to all the BS. That buck is huge. I bet 95% of the guys making negative comments have never killed or ever even seen a buck that size.

Keep posting pics!

this buck > yours....

Easy there tiger! I'm not bashing the deer or busting your balls. You asked for opinions/guesses and I gave mine. Why take it so personally?

I just pointed out that the outside spread doesn't count toward the score, so why push it? And the main beam appears to be shorter than the inside spread, so even the inside spread measurement doesn't count. If you posted it to have your ego stroked and wanted everyone to tell you you're the man, there are plenty here doing that and that's fine. I'm just being honest in what I see.

I admit I'm not the best at scoring deer, but with the main beam length and the broken G2 I just don't see how it would make 200". Did you figure spread credit correctly (longest main beam, not inside spread)? In looking again, I probably underestimated mass and the extras a bit, but still not 200" IN MY OPINION. It's truly an AWESOME deer that I'd never even dream of passing up.

Rez,

trying to judge a buck by one Picture is like trying to find a wife online. you never know what you get till you see it in person.

Its a great deer but really hard to judge from one pic! Most people will be low.

Does that deer have a 200 inch frame? If it does, its hard to tell from that picture.

The length the frame is missing just about cancels the extras.

Are you asking for the score "considering" the missing bone?

I don't see how its over 200", but my first guess might be low.

You posted it on the internet, right? If I was in your basement, I bet I could get DAMN close to an official score. You posted it asking for guesses, deal with the guesses. Might want to dust that sucker off once in while. . . . Its a great buck, but YOU asked for guesses over the net . . . What do you expect?

lmao, just seeing if my previous concensious of most of you guys being no huntin tools was right....and it looks like I was right.

As opposed to the 14 year olds on here that spend every minute in the outdoors, post pics of their dads deer, that they scored with a ruler?

Keep it real.

That bat in the picture, it is a
"Combat SX3 UNCENSORED Softball Bat".

The longest length they made, for the 28 oz. bat, is 30 inches.

"only thing that matters is width and mass".

Thats what my wife tells me!

if we are going off of width that is pretty good! but I have shot 3 points with MORE MASS THAN THAT BUCK!

Rez, your takeing this sh!t way to seriously, most of us really dont care what it scores we just like to try and guess. If were right or wrong it really dont matter. just post the score I want to see how close I was.
