DH, who applied?

I put in. Just finished my second time through.

I wasn't sure this time around though, I almost became exclusively a bow hunter. I know several people that were not reapplying this time.

Good luck.

"I'M NOT COMPLAINING,I'M TELLING IT THE WAY IT IS,SOME OF YOU MAY NOT LIKE IT,THATS O.K.,SOMETIMES THE TRUTH HURTS & YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT IT,OR YOU FIND OUT WHAT THE FACTS ARE,STAND UP & VOICE YOUR OWN OPINION,THIS IS STILL AMERICA THE LAST TIME I CHECKED"!!!

REMEMBER!!!

THERE'S ONLY ONE bobcat!!!

I did not re enlist. My season goes like this.

One weekend on the bow hunt, more of a ml scouting trip. Dont practice enough to be ethical or good.

All week on the ML hunt.

Can't stand the rifle hunt, post rifle I start scouting for my ML general season bull.

I just don't use it to justify it.

Yeah muzzy deer. Same unit, different range. The last two years Ive watched bigger deer then where I shot mine last year. However you know how much I love that range out there in the west, Love it! I think the deer are on a small come back.

If I don't draw I'll hit where you and I went a few years ago.

I just hate the rifle hunt and rather use my time to chase late season ML elk than chase deer with a bow.

No re-listing here for me. Last three years were fun, but I would rather spend more time hunting various other species. I found every spare minute I spent deer hunting as a DHer. This year I will get back to some duck hunting and bird hunting as well. My lab will be grateful...he hasn't chased ducks since I started the DH program.

I signed back up this year, I like the program, been doing it since the begining accept for a think 1 year, the hours seem alittle high, but as long as I get to hunt BOW and Muzzy thats OK.

I bailed! I have been in the DH Program for Nine years, and I have killed my buck on the archery hunt almost every year, with just a couple muzz kills, so Im going archery all the way this year! I have to admit, the DH Program is great for the serious hunter, but im not going to try to keep up with it this year.

This is my last year of the DH program. I will not sign up again. Until this state grows a brain and sees that there is a problem with the deer situation here I am not going to waste anymore time or money hunting deer here. And then to up the hours to 40 hours is an absolute joke!!!! Most of us have a job, family. Most of us simply do not have the time to spend the equivilent of one entire work week in order to hunt deer in a state that doesn't give a flying rip about anything other than $$$$$. I 'm at a whole other level of p*&#@d off that during the year that the state has to come up with a new 5 year management plan for deer it chose to do absolutely NOTHING to improve the deer situation. NOTHING!!! And then they want more of my time and money. The only thing I have to say are two words which begin and end with the letter F.

Last year I was a few hours late in applying and they didn't have it as a draw. This year I was all ready to apply and they changed it to a draw... then as usual I get an unsuccessful...
