Since you gave us the clue "once great mule deer country" I would have to say Wyoming or Idaho. Because of the picture with the deep canyon I would say that somebody nailed it as Hells Canyon. Just guessing. fatrooster.

i guess that one was to easy. it is where the southern tip of the seven devils in idaho breaks off into hells canyon, deep creek and oxbow creek, unit 22.

I was going to say it looks like the head of deep cr right below the smith lookout tower. Spent many cold nights on the ground in that country!

>I would second muzzhunter and guess
>wyoming G. Possibly around Devils
>Hole.

little late rugburn...lol

great post/pic, thanks for sharing

hopefully now that its a draw unit, it will be great mule deer country once again. that was one move Idaho F&G made that really made sense and is a step in the right direction for the mule deer herd. albeit...it was spelled out for them in hatfields book, at least they listened...

Seven Devils Idaho, 1.Deep creek, 2.Oxbow creek, and 3.maybe High Dive (looking across head of Deep creek into six lake basin.)

i know for a fact its not louisiana, mississippi, alabama, florida, tennessee, georgia. arkansas, ohio, indiana, illinois.

It sure looks like Idaho. I would venture a guess around South Central Idaho or even Montpelier area. Use to be good mule deer country.

Looks like on the left coast of northern kalifornicated. Could be north of the gay bay where many non typicals call home.
