New Video Intro

Steve--

I've been waiting for another one! When can I get one!?!? That trailer is sweet--nice work!

Should be out in a couple weeks, I'll start the BBQ. How come I haven't seen a picture of your buck yet?

Steve

It should be on this site by the end of next month. I should have a few copies by the first of next month.

Steve

Looks great!!!! Any sheds in it Steve? I will surely add this one to the collection.

Later, Brandon

Sorry Brandon, No sheds I've only been down in the winter range twice in the last four years. Trying to give the deer a little break!

Steve

Steve,
Sweet DVD! Ill be sure to get one when its available!
If you ever come to Utah and need a workhorse, or a camp cook let me know, im in!

Heck I'll never draw Utah! Maybe when I'm 60. Hopefully the offer will still be on the table. Thanks for the compliments guys

Steve

Looks interesting. Just curious was that kid that was hitting on a bong in that picture on this website sitting in the editing room with you guys? I kept seeing a big puff of smoke that looked like an exhaling bong hit go drifting across the screen. Kick that little doper out on his ear!

LAST EDITED ON Feb-17-09 AT 03:26PM (MST)[p]I've done a fair bit of videography, so from the technical standpoint of the intro, I think a fantastic job was done. I loved the effects, clips, clarity, fonts, it's all very modern.

As for the content....Nice! Great deer and looks like lots of fun. Get's me pumped. Love it.

Todd

Must have been my dad or someone who looks allot like me! It is good to know you are still around and haven't lost your sense of humor. Hope everything is going well

Steve

What Idaho buck? It's on my computer! I don't post pics on here do you think I'm crazy. So how are things going, still working? You just never know!

Steve

looks pretty dang good, sure are some great bucks in those clips.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

can I say legendary work, for the one and only legend! great work steve! you know you have fans but, I think people would buy move videos if you could grow some decent sideburns!

SHUT UP YOU LITTLE GIRL!!! Besides yours look like they are glue on! And yes you got your moneys worth. How much that glue cost you to get those things to stay on your face when you talk? Clay has a brazilian(wax job) on his cheeks! LOL. See you tomorrow

Steve

Steve, Yea i am still working. Trying to save that money for super hunt tags!! Only way ill ever get to hunt Idaho..Maybe this year is my lucky year.

Andy

wow!!! would somebody lend me $4.99 to buy this video! I keep watching it and never get tired of it. the two most important things to have on a hunting video made it on this one... huge Deer and Cody Waldo. the only thing thats missing is Guy Eastman!!!

I think hes from the sheep state, or I mean the cowboy state. he has a great philosiphy about hunting land in the west with no fences... anyway you should contact him and see if he will help! hes got a T.V. show thats now IN THE TOP 8 on the outdoor channel

I will give him a call. Is he that guy who shot those two giant deer 3 years ago? One in Kansas and one in Wyoming or Montana. If I recall they where both on private property and guided hunts. How can you say" No Fences" when nobody but you can, hunt the land. Kind of hypocritical if you ask me. "No Fences" should mean no fences not even private land. its kind of misleading if you ask me. And I know all about fences. Is he related to the Mike Eastman, the famous antelope hunter?

Ya, I think they are borthers or something. whats wrong with guided hunts, that suprises me that you say they hunt on private land, in all their magazines they say DIY. are they lying to their readers?

They have a magazine also! these guys are good. can you get me a contact number or e-mail.

have you been under a rock for the last 10 (really more)years?
LOL!!
Guy Eastman is Mike Eastman's son.
Yes, of Eastmans empire (magazine, video, etc.)

Oh,yes very nice trailer, sure different from the
LL muley series

Jeff

Hook, line and sinker Jeff.

Hey Steve looks cool but that's not all of the good stuff right there in the intro is it?

Kicker

sorry jeff, I really don't follow the superstars very well. I'm normaly working hard to find Idahos very best, you know I'm drooling just thinking about it.. You all know what I mean, 8" wide, 1x2 or if I scout really hard a 2x2. You have seen the kind. hey Lowland those deer were not from Idaho were they? there to BIG. you must be hunting on those ranches you were talking about eairler!

Kicker

Thats why it's called a teaser!

Duck boy, Water bird boy, or what ever your name is

Guess we just added you to the jealous fan club. Get over it. One day you might get lucky and break the 150 mark if you keep hangin out with the cool people.

Steve

do you think maybe one day... I will break the 150 mark? when you say cool people do you mean you or the Eastman gang? I know you are not talking about you in your cool people speach, you can't even wipe the food off your chin. maybe you should photo shop that out of your intro!! oh I'm sorry I just rewatched the intro and its your facial hair!!

Duck boy

That is food, if you hunt as hard as I do you never know when you are going to run out of food. I just store it there for easy access. You had your chance to shoot a good deer this year with me. So I'm going to have to pass you off to the Eastmans. Better start saving your money for that access fee.

Steve

if that was food WHAT ARE YOU EATING? is that whats left of the squirrel tail? Access fee? I don't have to buy my way onto hunting Grounds. landowners don't start spuddering out dirty names rolling on the ground kicking and screaming when they hear my name. I'm all hardcore. you know like the Eastmans do it DIY.

Duck Boy

At least you can spell HARDCORE. that is probably as close to it as you will get.

Looks good man, smoker bucks for sure. I hate those vids that show you all the big buck/bulls in the opener and then the rest of the video is just a long drawn out version of the intro. But sounds like the rest of your dvd looks to be great. You have come a long way from that punk kid in the forest service green rig with an arrow for an antenna:) Good on you.

Kicker

Kicker

That is absolutely hilarious. Its pretty tuff to look back at those days when I really thought I was the sh$$. That was a good one! Made my day, thanks

Steve

Looks like a good one, can't wait. Its good to see a fellow Idahoan & 'tile guy' doing waht he loves and chasin some dreams.
Your the man!
Dan

Sorry, but for a layperson as my self, its just another big buck movie being killed by the $ame ole? privileged few..........bummer Dude?.

Hey Buckspy I didn't see the bong smoke?.?

Manny

Privileged few my a$$, I work hard for my money just like you. How is saving some money to go and hunt a privileged few? We all have the same right to hunt, film and make videos. Some of us are just better at it! I hunt and I film, then I share it with others. I'm privileged because we made a video of our hunting? You or anyone else for that matter could do the same. It doesn't make us privileged, were just doing what we love to do and thats hunt! If you can't hunt, film or make videos then I suggest you take a class! Most of it's FREE on line, even a layperson can do that.

Thanks for speaking up, it gave me a chance to vent, Been wanting to all day!

Steve

steve'

i have your other vid, which i enjoyed, I just ASS-UMED that was the case, it's quite a bit of the norm these days, just not interested in seeing the wealthy shooting big deer thats all...

manny

Wealthy, thats a good one! Your more then welcome to come by the place and see how the wealthy don't live. As a matter of fact I had to lay off the neighbor girl who scoops the dogs poop, so bring a shovel when you stop by! In all reality I have been pretty lucky to be able to do what I have as of late. Times are tuff for most of us right now! If you like you can send some money to my mule deer bail out steve fund! I promise, I will mention you in the next Vid and send you a free SHAMWOW to keep as a gift!

Steve

soooo, your saying your just an average joe, well I can wrap my head around that, I guess i'll be looking forward to seein the vid then........

Only for the priviledged people will we hold a class. We really don't know much, I put classes on for thr guys that use the video cameras. We have a guy come in from the news station and teach them the basics. Everything else has been self taught and classes off the internet. I would be more then happy to help you out however I can.

Steve

I am a video guy, I have spent some money in camera and edit equiptment and software. I have a cannon gl-2 can you help me out? What program do you use?
Travis

Travis

I love my gl-2 it's great for up close shots. 1 to 125 yards for the best footage. Most of the time in the field we use xl-1s and xl-2s with doublers or with after market lenses. For editing we use Final Cut Pro 6 w/ Motion after effects. We do buy plug ins such as text and 3-d graphics. Most of the music we use comes with Final Cut. Some of it we buy, royalty free. Practice editing would be my best advice for you. I've been doing it for over 9 years and if you don't stay up with you will loose it. Trust me I speak from first hand experience. Good luck! Feel free to ask more questions

Steve

What does that editing program cost out of curiosity? I have a sony pd170 that I love for archery but the zoom is a little lacking for long distance, wonder if there are aftermarket doublers for that too? For those of us regular joe's that dabble in video we appreciate good footage and editing knowing the effort it takes so good job. nwhunter

LOL.
Thats idaho and idahoans for you as my wife would say.
My bro lives in I.F. and lots of cousins scattered in SE Idaho.
count me in for a movie.

Jeff

Love the Music. Nothing like good metal riffs and mule deer hunting. Great Job. I would be interested in seeing more. Wheels.

Hey Lowland- I just got the canon xh a1 and was wondering if you had a recommendation on a doubler for it? Freakin sweetest movie intro I have seen, no lie! Thanks for any info....

Awesome video!!!! I have all of your others videos and I will definitely be adding this one to the collection. Keep up the good work.

Caolminer

The best doubler that I have found that goes on the exterior of the lens is the century optics double (1.6 times magnification). They used to have two that would fit the gl2s I don't know what they have for the xha1. You will just have to look it up. They had a bayonet style one and a screw on one. I preferred the screw on one, as it would leave less of a black ring when zoomed all the way out! Hope this helps, But try and stay with the century optics if you can. They have treated me the best!

Steve

Steve,

I just picked up the video at the sports show. Very, Very nicely done as always. The stalk to 56 yards with the muzzy was sweet. Well done.

Gem

Feel free to stop by the house sometime and pick one up! I'll send you my number check your inbox
