This buck has been hanging around my house for the past 2 years. I have nicknamed him the caribou buck because of his mass. I have guessed him to be around 42 inches wide with the cheaters. I can't get the picture up, can anyone post the pics for me? His rack is as wide as his body is long. If he stays where he has been he will die of old age. Untouchable.

Never mind, I got it!

The last time I saw him was in October when he was hard horned, I almost hit him crossing the road.

what a toad,
but chances are someday some scum will get, even if he is untouchable. Its the truth, and its a shame.

Is that a recent pic????? I would have never thought that there would have been that much antler growth this early.

No that pic was taken by a friend in May of 2008. I saw him hard horned in October and was telling him about this monster buck and he pulled out this picture and asked if this was him. Kind of unmistakeable.

pick up them antlers man if you get the chance. I'd love to see the score on that Toad... Very cool buck!

Definitely the buck of many lifetimes. It's good to know that he's around and passing on his genes. We need more like him.

AWESOME BUCK!! But I highly doubt that the picture was taken in may, looks to me that the buck is all but done growing. Looks more like late August.

Great buck - but that is still a lot of growth for May too!

That pic can't have been taken in May, perhaps August? His tips are nearly finished out, a buck in May will be very rounded off at the tips. At any rate, I'll bet the finished rack goes 230".

I got the pic from the guy after I saw the buck in October, I'm just saying what he told me. I'm thinking more like July 28th at 7:38 A.M. SHEEESH Just enjoy the buck.

I really think he will go more than 230" he has a lot of other points that you can't see in this pic. He stopped 5 yards from the grill of my truck last October and in that quick time I had to count as he stood there and then trotted off I counted 13 points on his right side and 9 on the other. Most of his right side is completely webbed out to the size of my palm where his G4 comes off his main beam. INSANE mass, especially on the right side. Helluva buck. I would put him closer to 250"

SURE IS A DINK LITTLE BODY HE'S PACKIN!!!

MAKES IT NICE FOR THE PACK OUT THOUGH!!!

YOU CAN'T EAT THE MEAT OFF A BUCK LIKE THAT!!!

REMEMBER!!!

THERE'S ONLY ONE bobcat!!!

I was making an observation based on my experience viewing deer at that time and the picture just struck me as taken later in the summer and I thought I'd offer that bit of info, it was not intended to offend you or your friend. Don't worry, I enjoyed the picture plenty, thanks.

You could look at two ways--it could be May if he's coming out of his winter coat or putting on his summer coat, or August, coming out of summer and putting on winter--either way, one heck of a buck. If it was May, what a monster by August...Antler tips, are not, however balled up like they should be for May...

Any luck on them sheds? Let me know if you need help...

Heck of a buck Just where is he located is that is will die of old age. I'm just curious where this place is, I'm thinking Colorado Springs or some Other town.

I won't be posting any location on this buck because I am afraid that he will get poached if he hasn't already. Last time I saw him was late November and I have looked for him ALOT. However, I did see him after all the hunting seasons were over so if anyone gets wind of him on someone's wall or in a taxidermy shop anywhere, I will KNOW that it was poached. No offense to anyone on this sight intended, just never know what lurkers of this sight are like.

well if you loose him every hunting season, how can you say it'll be poached?, when you don't know where he hides during season?....

I watched him all during the season, I know exactly where he hangs out and it is not on legal hunting grounds. I haven't seen him since late November which is after the hunting seasons so if he shows up on someone's wall between now and the start of next season, he was poached. I guess I don't get your question.

1st u say he in untouchable. Then u say ur afraid he got poached.Maybe he got hit by a truck?thought i saw some acorns on those scrubs.some tall grass gone to seed.Maybe july or even sept not may.something smells fishy????That would be great to have a buck like that in the neighbor hood. hope it true.Nice pic.

He has been hanging in neighborhoods as well as a state park. Could still be alive, could've got hit by a car, could've got poached. Nothing fishy, facts: I last saw him in November, The guy that took the pic gave it too me in July and said that he took the pic in May, I have seen the buck several times over the past 2 years. Are you indicating that I am a liar? What's fishy? Some of you guys amaze me with your comments. Makes one not want to post pics for others to enjoy.

Nice pic of a huge deer. Thanks for posting.Just the way you posted, though. You dont have a pic after 2 years.Your friend happens to have one from May that creates alot of questions.Thought this might be one of those threads where u find out the pic is of the #1 scoring deer your buddy shot in your county or something like that.I'm not calling you a liar. Are you calling me a lurker.Your words. You never no what kind of lurkers are on this site.If that deer is running around your subdivision i dont think you have to worry about MM members.Somebody closer to home is probably the lurker. No offense intended to anyone on this site.Seriously, Marley I hope that deer graces you with many more sightings for many more years.I prefer to cherish life than kill it but if i have a tag and that buck is legal and i have a good shot he's down.Good luck MM members for the 2009 season.Good luck to you marley, hope you have a great hunting season. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Marley you answered my question. I hope that hog shows up again this year. Sure would be some nice genes to pass on.

So this buck is NEVER out a private sub divsion or the State Park, Don't think you have to worry about MM members that are in NJ NY SD NM AZ CA ID NV WY MT Tx KS KY Mo ECT ECT ECT I Think you need to worry about your neighbors because they will be the ones that do the deed.
Still a great looking buck hope you see more of him before one of your neighbors lay the hammer down on him in the backyard.
