I don't expect many deer migrate from unit 61 to the Dolores Triangle. Could be wrong, I guess.

I think it is a great tag to draw. There have been some monster bucks shot on the unit. And there will be more. Snow will help your hunt.

Sorry but I have already gotten bids for who is going to tag along with me.

J/K.....it is not my tag it is a son of a friend who drew it as I do not even know where the hunt is located although someone said down by Monticello area. It has to have the same weather as in CO to make the hunts good I would guess.

Saw in the e-mail that it is Hunt 018 La Sal-Dolores Triangle tag. The hunter has two other hunts scheduled for this year and is not sure yet what he will do, go figure. depending on the weather, this one sounds better than the other two he is going to....decisions, decisions.

hit or miss ...total weather depentent! sloppy roads, no deer, only if I did not draw better(I always was interested in that tag!).........How many points did ya burn?

I hunted the east side of the La Sals last year for a week during archery season, late august, saw a lot of small bucks, but very few big bucks. Split time up high above timberline and then down low. It can be a tough hunt but good possibilities, just don't expect to see a lot of deer. That area holds a good chance at a buck of a lifetime in my opinion. You will need some snow to help out, hit or miss without weather.
