I just finished mounting up a couple mule deer skulls i've had laying around from the last couple seasons. I shot the non-typical last year and got the typical in the alpine in 2005. A buddy in Saskatchewan made the euromounters and they are awesome to use to mount your euro mounts! You can check out his website at http://www.euromounter.com. My non-typical taped out at 205" gross measured the day i shot him.

Thanks guys. When i shot the velvet buck my taxidermist gave me some spray on formaldehyde and that hardened the velvet right up. When i boiled the skull i wrapped the velvet with plastic bags and then wired the bags onto the antlers so that they wouldnt get too moist. It worked out alright, till my dogs knocked the antlers off my dresser and broke the nose of the skull off! If only i had the mounting system back then. Anyone else have euro mounts and systems of mounting them to show off?

where did you get your mounting system i like it better than the wood ones ive got, great heads by the way. weatherbys rule

LAST EDITED ON Jun-05-09 AT 11:45AM (MST)[p]Nice bucks! I am not a fan of velvet bucks at all, but I have to admit, that one looks really good as a euro mount! The other buck is just way too freaking cool! Love the uniqueness in him - tons of character. Definitely an irreplaceable trophy. As far as someone with plenty of experience with euro mounts - talk to Slamdunk - send him a PM and I am sure he can give you some great advice or help and he is always more than happy to show off a little.
