Dang, he turned out nice! Here is a pic of the huge sheds I found mounted on a cape. To put him in prespective, here he is next to a whitetail and another mule deer.

I think I would put the tag on the shed antler mount and said the whitetail was the shed mount.

J/K!

Very nice!

Very nice buck and mount's.

Lightening fast turn around! My taxi called me last week and said he'd be done by wednesday. Only took two weeks. He had the cape in stock and said it was a slow time of year for mounts.

Having these sheds mounted really shows just how big they are. I hope I can find this deer on the hoof come fall.

nice lookin buck. if you dont mind me askin what does it score? its a toad. the mount turned out great. really tall buck. jd

Yes, to the best of my knowledge, he is still alive.
I don't know what his true spread was, but just pure antler length, without the spread credit, he was 161 7/8. With a spread credit he could be a 190+ class buck on the hoof.

Pictures of his sheds just didn't do him justice. I figured mounting him would show his true potential.

He looks great, and alot bigger now
that he is mounted, the only thing is
that if he was 161, without inside
spread, he would have to have a 29 inch
inside to hit the 190 mark, and that don't
happen very often, because you can only
take the length of the longest main beam.
Great looking sheds though!

great buck. i was guessing 185-187 inches. that would put him at a 23-24 inch spead credit which is realistic for that buck in my opinion. beautiful looking mount, turned out great. with all this unseasonabley cool/wet weather there should be some good antler growth and he will be a monster typical next year. good job.

Inside spread.. thats right. Not outside. We were thinking around 32" outside spread. But your right, he will hopefully be even bigger this year. The taxi figured he's about a 7 1/2 year old buck. He may be as big as he'll ever get. But around this country.. having a buck with mass and length is hard to find! I'm just glad he's had a good chance at spreading those genetics around! I think I have a shed from one of his offspring this year. He's got mass, but too young to have the length just yet. He'll be a nice buck when he matures.

Here is a pic of his offsprings shed I found near this bucks.

There are thousands of pics of respectable bucks, both on the hoof and mounted heads one can see, but a near-symmetrical big buck like your mounted head sure looks picture-perfect to me! Also like the way his ears are slightly cocked differently! Nice-looking muley!
