Hello, I drew a Unit 2A Deer - Muzzleloader/Bow hunt, at the end of September.
Living in CA. it will be hard to scout and wonder if anybody
can recommend a good guide/outfitter that knows the area, etc.
That I can book a hunt with.
Thanks

Thanks for everything and Semper Fi!

I know it'll be a good and fun hunt and that is all that counts. The animal is only a bonus. Stimulus? :)

"Yes, I'd like to order the number 4.... the big-n-tasty!"

I drew a 2A rifle tag and plan on getting over there to do a little scouting at least once or twice before your hunt and will be happy to share with a fellow archer. I don't have a clue where to start there or how weather effects the unit for the rifle hunt but sounds like a pretty tough hunt. I'll be there late July or early August and will pass on some info

hey...i just reread the post again...didn't read it right the first time..thought he was looking for help by himself. No offense intended for the guides that posted...my bad. I was just trying to be helpful. Nothing I'm going to be able to tell him will help him nearly as much as you guys that guide in there.

Compass West Outfitters, hands down. I've hunted with them and have talked with several others that have, all were happy.

PM me for more info if you'd like.

None taken!!! 2A is a tough hunt but there are hammer deer in this unit. People think 2A-2B ust be about the same, they are not..... 2a has low deer numbers with a chance at 180+ deer and bigger if you know where to look. The muzzle hunt in 2A can be rough!!! rifle is better, i can glass deer on the Bit Brush from my kids bedroom!
