I drew Unit 32 in New Mexico for muledeer. This is the first time and i would like some info from anybody has hunted that area. This area is west of Roswell. Thank you for any help.
Never hunted 32, but here's a link to a website with BLM maps for hunting units in the West. Look for areas in yellow, blue and green. Yellow is BLM land, and you can camp on it. Blue is state land you can hunt, but cannot camp on.
My experience in the desert country is that muleys are often down in the mesquite draws. They have cover, feed and often water that they can live on without having to get out in the open. I couldn't believe the numbers of deer down low when I hunted unit 30 in the past.
