Great people on MM

Just wanted to thank those who have been very helpful to me this year. I've drawn tags for three areas I've never hunted (two on the advice of MM members)and I've received some very helpful information.

I agree. I can almost promise someone will help you out regardless of state and unit. When doing research I usually start here. I have helped a couple guys who wont return the favor, but most of the time they help and I always try to return the favor.

You guys are right there are some great people on this site that are more than willing to help out.I have been given some excellent information on units and have helped others whenever possible.

You're right - the key is to return the favor. I got a great email from a fellow MM'er I talked into keeping a tag he was concerned about (private land issues) - he got a nice bull and was tickled with it.

I've posted most of my hunts here so if you see I've been there I'll be happy to help.

I have had and been given the same type of treatment from the good people I've met on this site. Even when the tempers flare and egos swell it not a bad place to hang one's hat. Lots of good folks on here!

I concur with all that has been said. I frequent several other hunting sites and have posted items asking for info and the info received on those other sites has paled in comparison to what I have received here. In fact, some of the advice I have received on here far exceeded my expectations. Setting the ego, posturing, and testosterone aside - there are some great people on here that will bend over backwards to help others with no expectation of anything in return. However, I am a big believer in paying advice back and forward. Thanks again to all those who help others out - you know who you are!
