I hardly get antsy anymore when it comes to a draw but I am feeling decent about my 7 deer points getting me into 13a bow buck tag.

Anyone else thinking they may be in the mix for an Az. buck tag?

Robb

Got a slim chance at a late season Coues tag with rifle or a muzzy tag..............

I'm checking th AZ fish & game website every day. I believe all the other Rocky mtn. states have completed their drawings. But here we wait for AZ to get thier S@#t together. Come on 12A!

Wow, that makes me a feel a little better. I thought BC was the only place that still doesn't have their $hit together. They are over 2 weeks late this year. Draw normally happens the last week of June with results online shortly after that. This year, they say too many government cutbacks are the excuse for still not having it done. The amazing thing is, some of our hunts start Aug 1. That gives a guy less than 2 weeks to book a float plane and holidays and plan the logistics to get a BC Dall. The Bull$hit of it all is the government gave the Outfitters their Allocations way back in Jan.

AZ deer draw has occurred this time of year for how long? And now they don't have there sh!t together? Get over it.

Looking at time to post from due date, they are better than average, normaly about 5 weeks.

I'm in the draw with max deer points, but did 13B or nothing, so odds are still like 1:20 for me as a nonresident. Enough of a shot I'm excited to see...

I don't think my 2 points is enough just waiting for the years to roll by but not to fast. good luck to all. on_target

ElmerFudd,

I am in the same boat as you are, so your odds just got alot worse as I plan on drawing that tag. Good Luck!!

I have 10 BPs's as a Non Res and hope I don't draw. This is weird since I've been waiting for years. Can't get the time off for that period. If I would have only known!

I would gladly take my 2nd choice late mzzy down in 39/41....

Funny how the bottleneck keeps growing in numbers in the max point pool.

More nonresidents with actual max points - hunter ed get the hunter ed and move into max than draw or drop out. In reality, there are about 5X more max points nonresidents in the top pool than it appears. They will change the draw again so tags will be available for less than max points, only fair, but selfishly hope to draw before they do...

And now they don't

>That's right they (AZ Fish & game) don't have their s$%t together. They are the only (that i'm aware of) rocky mountain state that still has a mail in only application. The rest of the world is on the computer! So that is what I mean by AZ not having their s$%t together! We are subject to a less than accurate drawing system with mail in applications. There are any number of problems with a mail in application, not limited to....lost in the mail, insufficient postage, hell.....the USPS and if the application does make it to the Fish & Game headquarters we are subject to the handling process within a Federal government operated department. If the application process is initialized with an on line computer format you are issued a number that can be tracked throughout the process from purchase to awards!
Now it's your turn to get over it!

Nicerack,

You must not have been around when all they had were mail in applications. It wasn't that long ago nobody did it on the internet. There are way more people who like mail in applications than internet ones. If you are so butt-hurt about it, don't apply.

Oh, and when they did have the internet process, it still took the same amount of time. Isn't that waht this post is about anyways? When the results will be out.

12 a w late with 7 or 8 non res, ya never know, because the sun shines on a doqs ass every once in a while.

Well, as one of those non-res with max points, I've been looking every afternoon to see if they're up. Come on 13A or B!
Hope I draw before they do something to loosen it up and make it even harder for a max points non-resident to draw.

Anyone have any idea how many max points non-res there are now after taking the class this year?

Hang on boys, I say the news is coming Thursday or Friday!

I had 10 BP as a resident this year, so yeah I have a chance, much better than the NR guys who aren't in the max pool.

I've said it a hundred times, but if you're a NR who has less than max deer points, and you're applying for the 13B or late 12A West rifle hunt YOU CAN"T DRAW IT under the current system. Doesn't matter if it is a rifle or archery tag in Unit 13B. Sorry, but you boys are just a little screwed!

Apply for the early east or west Kaibab hunts, where the 10% rule never seems to bother NR applicants. (Doesn't hit the 10% max number of NR tag holders).

Good advice to apply for those desert muzzleloader or rifle tags in southwest AZ..The Scott boys know their stuff and if you want a quality hunt with a chance at a good buck, and you don't have max points, that should be the hunt(s) you are applying for.

Just one more Strip tag and then I'm a regular for the down south units and 12B muzzleloader hunts.

With 8 bp I hope for a 12aw late tag or 12b late 2nd. I have a 9 bull tag in sept so I can't cry to much if I don't get a deer tag this year. The guys that do draw this year will have one of the best antler growing years I have ever seen. What groth on the bulls in 9 this year, have seen three that will go over 390 and one over 400.
