STRIP TAG!!!!!!!!!

We just barely found out that after many many MANY years of applying my dad has finally drawn a archery tag for 13B. Thats the good news.

Unfortunately about four weeks ago he was rushed to the ER with congestive heart failure and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. Test after test has yet to reveal a reason why this is happening and each time they shock his heart back into rhythm it falls back out in a short matter of time.

A month ago my dad could out hike me on my best day. . . . today he sits in a hospital bed.

I would not normally come on here and ask for info but we are up against a wall with the hunt starting in three weeks.

The way it looks right now we are going to be very limited as to how we can hunt. Best case scenario is going to be to hook up with an outfitter that is willing to guide this type of situation. The doctor said little physical activity so i think we are limited to sitting a blind at a water hole and hoping for the best.

If anyone has any info on good outfitters, good water holes that we can set up a blind, or any info/advice on the unit it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ryan

Unfortunately I cant help you with any info on the Strip. But I do wish your dad the best. Hope everything works out for you guys. Best of luck!

Of course I can't help you with outfitter info, but Ryan, know that your Dad will be in my prayers each day....good luck to you both.

That's awesome about the tag. Sorry your dad isn't feeling better. Hopefully he'll be doing better by the hunt. Quite a few good guides down there. A good starting point would be to give the boys at "Muley Crazy" a call and see if they can steer you in the right direction.

Thanks guys, i appreciate it

prism- i called the muley crazy boys but they didn't answer. I am planning on trying again tomorrow. I was also going to talk with the bundy's, they seem to be good guys and very successful

are looking at hiring a guide if so I have two friends that guide for the strip and spend more time out there they anyone I know. on_target

Originally he had always planned a DIY but given the situation we think working something out with a guide might be the best route to go.

try Clay Bundy Guide Service at 435-680-2991 or 435-628-2991 or try Brec Bundy at 435-632-3541 I think either one of these guys can help you. on_target

That's a bummer! I sure hope everything turns out OK for your dad. Scary! I wish I knew something about that area and I would help you. I'm sure someone will give you guys some pointers on that hunt. I'm sure that like 6x5, there are a few guys out there who can throw some good info. your way.
Good luck and keep us posted on how things go.

Get a hold of Brec Bundy.I'll be hunting with him in 13B & would be glad to share a camp with your father.I have some extra ground blinds or tree-stands if he needs to sit water.I already let Brec know about your dad!
Good luck,David

I cant even beging to tell everyone how grateful i am for the help and information that has been shared.

There are a great group of guys on this site and i will be happy to return the favor whenever possible.

I am working on sending and replying to PM's

Thanks

Ryan

Best wishes and prayers to your dad. But keep in mind that it's really isolated, a long way to medical help, and no cell service. So.....As cool as the tag is, make sure he's OK...Good luck and hope he can. Consider renting a satelite phone if your guide does not have one, get the scoop on the St. George medical situation.

Thanks for all the tips guys! We will be watching the health situation very very close and if it doesn't look good he will have to transfer it to a youth

put your dad on CoQ10 and Resveratrol ASAP!
