awesome buck! Is this the buck that is supposed to score 245"? If so he looks a little short of the 245" mark.

A little short! Cmon. The buck is a toad. I'll bet the frame alone is 210+. He is heavy and long with extras. Just because he is tall, narrow, and heavy it is assumed he is short. I'll also bet those main beams are 26 to 27 inches. Looks very similar to the buck I got last year in arizona. Mine went almost 226 so yes this buck could be what they say. Congrats on a great buck!

wow i dont think short its got tons of mass deeeeep forks and longs mains big eyeguards it a pig!!!

LAST EDITED ON Aug-04-09 AT 06:24PM (MST)[p]You guys should click on the link in the first post. This is the 216" buck not the 245".....Helluva buck.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-04-09 AT 06:30PM (MST)[p]I don't think that's correct hardway. That is the hunter that killed the 245. So far I haven't seen the 216. I think it's a typical.

Well it's a dream Stud buck...THAT'S fOR SURE!!! Look at that Mass!

If i had to try and score him i'd say he has a 195 main frame and near 20" of extras, from what i can see, so 216 sounds right to me.

I agree, who cares what the number is. That is a one in a million buck. I am trying to find that big rock on Google Earth right now.

This is not the 216" archery buck from the other post. From what I've heard the 216" buck is a 210" typical with a big cheater.

I have seen more pics of Fords buck and he is every bit of 230-240. He has a lot more junk then you can see in the pic that has been posted.

10-4 Carl. I got the 2 mixed up.

I'm waiting on some more pictures. A buck like that would be hard to score from one picture I think. I really don't think Mr Ford would feel any need to make up numbers for any of us jaspers on here. I'm gonna take his word on it.

Regardless of score he is a smokin' buck.

". A buck like that would be hard to score from one picture I think" +1

"score means nothing when you kill a buck like that. Nice buck!" +1

Dream Buck!!...look at that Mass!!!

Joey

He can call it whatever he wants, there is no doubting that phenomenal typical frame. Congrats to the hunter.

Where's Hunt-Rez with his "width isn't everything, it's the only thing" BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

MAN-O-MAN now that a nice buck. The score wouldn't even come to mind when he stepped out, It would be SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT DAMN.

Geeze, talk about getting a guy anxious for our Sept opener. That is what we dream about all summer long. Congrats to the hunter on whackin a giant.

Congrats to Tommy on a monster buck. If I understand correctly, he still has another Governor's license, so he may whack another monster before 09 is gone.

If I shot a buck like that one I would score it as a trophy of a lifetime. At that point a number would be less important.

I would rather tell the story behind the events leading up to the kill. After all part of hunting and harvesting a buck like that is having years and years to BS with people about the "Big One That Didn't Get Away".

Congrats on a great trophy.

What a stud buck! I agree it is hard to see 246, but like someone else said, it's hard to see all the stuff in just one pic. Regardless of score, what a whopper buck.

Tommy's wife emailed me. I asked her to post up some additional photos for us all to drool over.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-05-09 AT 12:20PM (MST)[p]There is only one score I would give if I saw that buck:

Me = +1
Buck = 0

(Assuming of course, the arrow hits it's mark!) LoL

This is an awesome buck even if it didn't hit the Magic 200" Mark!

What a great buck. Congrats to the hunter and the team he used. Just goes to show that width isn't the only thing that matters.

Going to be hard to beat that one for the big buck contest. The bar is set very high. Congrats
