While out bowhunting in Colorado at timberline earlier this week, in one drainage, I noticed that every deer in the drainage ( multiple basins ) were ignoring the willows and eating the grass around the willows. The willows were still green.
In the next drainage over, all of the deer were ignoring the grass and all eating the willows.
What is going on here? I found it really weird that EVERY deer in the drainage wasn't eating the willows, just the grass.
