New Mexico Unit 32

My father in law wanted to hunt mule deer in New Mexico so we entered the draw and got selected for unit 32. I was hoping that somebody on this board had some experience with this area and could help point me in the right direction. The hunt is October 31 thru November 4.

Remind me what town is near by maybe can help alot if its the unit I think it is been 4 years since I hunted NM

The web address above is the link to the unit map. Unit 32 is south of Fort Sumner and north of Hope. The western border is the Lincoln county line and the eastern border is along interstate 70 by Roswell and the Pecos River. Thanks for your help.

try out north of roswell...lots of state and blm land...also west and south west of Roswell...thats where i would start...what hunt do you have??? make sure and get some maps...you should see quite a bit of deer but i would come in a day or 2 early and scout around a little bit...good luck to ya and post up your success...anything questions just let me know...I live in Roswell and am pretty familiar with the area...

If you have the quad map of roswell, I can tell you of a place between roswell and hondo that i went to. I saw tons of bucks and there is quite a bit of blm land. Heading from roswell to ruidoso you'll drive about 10 or so miles. I always remeber the turn because it is by a truck rest on the side of the road. The turn is on the south side. It's the entrance to Diamond A Ranch. I believe you'll also see a sign on the highway that says mossman road. take that road. I was out there hunting barbary sheep in feb and saw a lot of nice bucks.
