If you had a chance to move to one of these states; Wyoming, Idaho or Arizona, which state would you pic and why?

"They have the cutest sheep?" wow I dont know where to go with that one. I guess it is a priority for some.

how about stay away from Wyoming if you are not married because they have a cute girl behind every tree and everyone knows there are no trees in Wyoming

Idaho gets my vote better fishing for big fish. I mean realy big fish not the little mac's either.

Idaho has better elk IMHO. Actually Idaho probably has the best all around hunting package come to think of it.

They also have the best potatoes!

Archery is a year round commitment!!

the reason i left arizona off is cause i just wouldnt want to live there only hunt there.

Idaho is the most resident-friendly IMO. They are also the least non-resident-friendly. But that is where I would move.

Grizzly

Elk, deer, bear, lion, antelope, moose, sheep, goats, wolves, turkeys, birds, waterfowl, salmon, steelhead, 10' sturgeon......IDAHO ALL THE WAY.

PS...If I want a Record book elk, utah.

I know you ask for which one is best but just have to go negative on this one...

Idaho sucks!

If they dont figure it out soon they wont even be an option.

Colorado! Idaho and Wyoming are not up to par on their game management and Arizona is just too dang hot! Colorado has the mule deer management thing figured out right now and mule deer is my #1 favorite game animal. If I have to choose one of the three choices given then I'd choose Idaho because of the reasons mentioned above. And also because Idaho has some very nice remote high country which I truley love. fatrooster.

WY has way better elk and mule deer,ID sucks mule deer still declining, elk is not bad in spots not talked about alot cause u have to be a resident to get into the wilderness areas

I love Wyoming, but that particular law irritates me to no end. I think all other states need to pass a reciprical law: allow anyone and everyone to hunt their wilderness areas, unless they're from Wyoming... ;-)

az all the way! colorado pp suck! wyoming not bad for hunting but what a desolate place! idaho read the other post on how that states sucking! az hot? go to flagstaff, nau, asu, u of a. lakes hunting girls what more is there?

Good point hornhunter. Since hunting wasn't the ONLY criteria...AZ women have the other states absolutely beat. Wyoming and Idaho women aren't bad if you can stand the beards. Sign me up for AZ.

WY, no income tax. Maybe thats why I set up my business there.

That and they honor the federal statutes on investment advisor acts unlike stupid UT.

Wyoming by far, but if I was still in my twenties, Az for the split tail hunting. That's funny shiznut cwarr, Utah...LOL!

What if you narrow it to raising kids in a family and being able to hunt close to home?

Wouldn't a Job be a factor? I would go ID too, AZ is too populated and all you can really hunt is archery deer or a fall coues. Not enough elk unless you want a cow tag every year. Look at the population! WY is really desolate for most of the states and your wife and kids might like something more to do. ID has it all, good communities to live in, hunting close, and remote areas too.

even though im out of my twenties, I still say az. great schools, a lot of things to do with the family there. I live in the arm pit of the us, nm, and can't wait to get back to az. you can hunt til your wife runs off there buy a otc archery deer tag hunt sept and dec & jan, plus any tags your lucky enough to draw. and that's not to tough if you know some out the way country. and you can kill 380+ bulls in any unit there. did I mention the eye candy? plus wasn't broke back mountain filmed in wy? -25 just for that!

I'm going to say Wyoming. I'm actually working on moving there right now. Like the others said above, its kind of desolate in many places but I don't think you can been western Wyoming for beauty. The other great thing is if you can put your hiking or riding boots on, there are lots of places to go and get away. I just got back from a 7 day deer hunt up there. We didn't see a soul in there the whole time. It's hard to beat that.
