Here's a couple photos that came through my email that had been forwarded to MANY other people, so I'm also sharing it with all you. What a buck!

I gather from the email that a fellow named Lee Cox took this beast. The email says the buck has 41 points, rough scores 292, and has an outside spread of 36 inches. If Lee Cox is the lucky hunter, well congratulations to you buddy, that is one truly MONSTER MULEY. I believe it is a Colorado Muzzleloader buck. Maybe Lee will contact me and share his story or post it.

Cool buck, wouldn't you all agree?

What a Buck, I'm think he would rate pretty high as one of the biggest bucks taken this year.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

Thing is prehistoric. Great deer.

I'd like to see some more pics from all angles. If anybody gets these, please post them.

That is a HAWG!!

That 1st pic reminds me of the Medusa Buck a little.

Hope he is or will be an MMer so he can give us more pix and hopefully a story!

Awesome buck! You would think a hunter as seasoned and knowledgable as Lee Cox would know better than to cut the antlers off the top of the skull leaving two inches of bone holding that much rack together. Kinda risky.

WesternSky,
Be careful with your accusations on a public forum like this.
The buck is an awesome buck and Lee turned down lots of money so he could shoot the buck himself.

Is this the best buck of the year? Wow, I'd like to see a frontal shot of that monster! Awesome buck!!! Hopefully MM hasn't scared the hunter away from telling a story and sharing some more pics. It is a bit surprising that the skull cap was cut so close the antlers on such a trophy!

I could never shoot a buck like that. Seriously, like I physically couldn't shoot it. I'd be shaking so bad my effective shooting range would be like 10 feet.

For the love of the game

What's with the flimsy threat? I am glad I'm not the only one that "calls 'em like I sees 'em". If someone is suspicious they should be able to say so. I for one have never seen a skull plate so covered with blood after I got done caping it out, but I have been seeing it in a lot of pictures of unbelievable bucks and bulls lately killed by hunter/s with incredible luck and of course super skill..... One thing is for sure- at one time this was a great buck or bucks!

That monster had to be killed on the grassy knoll behind the white picket fence. Congrats to Mr. Cox.

What a phenomenal accomplishment with a tremendous deer. Congrats Mr. Cox that thing is mind blowing. And to this negative criticism that is actually surfacing about this buck, Don't pay any attention to it all it is is jealousy rearing its nasty little eye.

Oh my heck , I'd drop my bow for sure. Thats about as mammoth as it gets!

Not if you are an accomplished antler reproductionist and a widely known high fence hunter who just happens to be splitting up and selling the land this "monster" as well as other unbelievable bucks and bulls were supposedly killed on by Lee in the last few years. Pretty good marketing strategy if you are trying to rip people off. Don't get me wrong I have spent quite a bit of time on the ranch he now owns a small piece of and there are deffinately some excellent bulls and some really good bucks but this ongoing story with questionable scenarios year after year is getting ridiculous. Is he trying to show up Kirt Darner?

Hey man! This is the pending world record muzzleloader non typical mule deer you are talking about. Just because the antlers are rubbed up like its the middle of November even though velvet covered them a week or so before and the skull plate is cut off like an uneducated hillbilly moron did it with blood all over it like the bucks jugular ran across the top of the head and Lee used to have a deer antler repro business and has pawned off pics of 400 inch high fence bulls like they are running all over unit 40 on the property he manages and he got into some serious legal trouble that was covered extensively in the Grand Junction paper for the "lost" Red Deer antlers and they are selling subdivided property where this big, er, I mean nearly 300 inch giant buck roamed doesn't mean a damn thing. Lets give him the credit he deserves. There are lots of hearts about to ache and break out there in cyber space over this for all the internet back patting that ensued. Cut this guy some slack!

not questioning the buck or hunter. BUT, what the hell is up with that bloody skull plate? ive never seen one like that before.

Great deer! I would say this is a buck of ten lifetimes not one. Congratulations to the hunter, this is really an amazing animal.

Awesome buck or repro or whatever. I know if I killed the pending world whatever, I would have my ducks in a row, like putting the tag on the CARCASS, not the antlers.

OK. I am kind of slow - so help me out a bit. The thinking by some is that maybe possibly if they are repros the red crap on the tiny skull plate is to cover up the fact that they are repros?

There was another interesting thread that was deleted. I googled this guy to see if I could find articles about what has been suggested. I recall reading about the antler incident. Interesting...

The small skull plate is to help facilitate the placing of the antlers onto the head of a different buck :)

Yep notice how there is only a pic from the side when the antlers are on the head. Prob skinned back the scalp and cut off real horns, placed fake horns on top and flapped scalp back over and took a pic. The old switch-a-roo.

why would you fake this, get a life. The six point on my wall means more than this freak monster. Also its interesting he only took pics from one side, and what's with the red skull plate. I have seen lots of fresh kills and none of them were that red. Maybe he drained the blood into a bucket and left the horns soaking in it!!!! If i would of killed a buck like this you can bet your butt i would have taken many picstures from many angles untill the batteries ran down. This guy needs to get a life, no one i know would even stoop to something this low(if it is true that it is a fake) But this is just my opinion, i did not know about his past history but can say if it was true he would of probably been posting defending himself.

Thank god and all our veterans we can speak our mind and enjoy the outdoors, without them we would not be able to do this
